"How are you not ready yet?" Yoongi asked Taehyung with an exasperated sigh
"I am ready...I just forgot something" he responded, running down the hall towards his bedroom. I grabbed Yoongi's hand and gave it a squeeze
"Relax babe, we will be on time"
"Not if he doesn't' hurry up"
"I'm coming, I'm coming" Tae jogged back to where we stood, near the door, with a box tucked under arm
"Do you have everything now?"
"Yes hyung, I do" he smiled and gave the box a pat "Let's go"
After saying bye to everyone I climbed in the back seat, I was still sleepy and recuperating from my day with Hoseok. Two days later and I still felt a little sore when I walked but it was totally worth it. Yoongi volunteered to drive first and Taehyung would take over if he got tired or needed a break.
We were driving to Daegu to visit their families and properly introduce me. I was nervous but excited at the same time, hoping their parents would like me. With the car packed up we were ready to hit the road, it was early in the morning and the sun was barely up when we drove down the driveway.
"Baby are you cold?" Tae asked, while looking in his visor mirror to fix his shaggy hair
"A little" Yoongi turned on the heat before he could reach for it "Thank you. I might fall asleep on y'all"
"You're welcome. I'm gonna stop for coffee, do you want some?"
"Not but a hot chocolate would be nice"
"You haven't been drinking much caffeine, have you?" Tae asked. I think he was secretly hoping I was pregnant.
"No but I'm not a big coffee drinker normally. Only when I am desperate" he simply nodded and pushed up the visor.
The ride to Starbucks was quiet. I was half asleep, Yoongi was focused on the traffic and Taehyung was on his phone. I remembered the car stopping then the strong aroma of hot coffee and sweet chocolate. I received my cup from Tae who had a bottled beverage for himself.
"Ready?" He asked. Tae and I both nodded with hums "Okay"
The drive was pretty quiet for the most part but it was nice. I liked that we could be silent without being uncomfortable. The smooth ride and the quiet of the early morning made for good napping conditions so I dozed off for two hours. I woke up due to the constant buzzing from my phone vibrating in my bag.
"Hello" I answered it blindly
"Ma-ri? Were you asleep?" My sister's voice came through the speaker
"Yeah, what's up?" I sat upright and rubbed my eyes with a yawn
"Nothing, I know the guys are on vacation now and I was wondering if you all wanted to get together for a nice dinner... our mom really wants to talk with you" Adding the last part quietly.
A heavy sigh barreled out my nostrils as I let my head fall backwards. "Unnie, dinner sounds nice but I don't have anything to say to your mom."
"I won't say I know how you feel but can you at least think it over some more? She does feel awful about everything. I'm not saying you two have to be friends but just hear her out"
"I will think about it and let you know"
"Thank you. So, what are you doing?"
"I'm on my way to Daegu with Taehyung and Yoongi to meet their families" I replied then took a sip of the now cold, hot chocolate.
