A/N - No I do not apologize and I feel like doing minis of stand by me and Ted 😂❤ Not as dark as I usually write my yandere but if you look for it, you'll see a few red flags.
-----
It had been weeks since the "sleepover," you had been invited to at your dorky guy friend Bill's house. Never did you think that sweet, kind and admittedly a little dim witted Bill would be capable of this. Ever since he confessed to you in the makeshift pillow fort that had been made in the middle of his room, things had been awkward. MTV droned on about the wackiest and the trendiest but you still couldn't remember what the TV had been advertising. Bill had taken your hand and his big puppy eyes had been awaiting your answer. Had it been last year, you were certain that you would have said yes and rejoiced but now that you got over your little crush, all you could do was try and gently let him down.
Bill had been more dim than you thought, each time you tried to ease yourself into letting him down, he always had a way of misinterpreting what you were really meaning. Before you knew it the subject had been dropped and Bill had seemingly let it go, munching happily on the pizza Missy had brought home for your sleepover.
The next time should have been the blaring red flag telling you to leave. Bill had this childish way of offering you his bed and he, the pillow fort in the floor. It had been during the night, after the pre sleep conversations died down and just as you entered deep sleep. It was easy to write off the arm around your waist and the new weight suddenly behind you in bed. Growing up with siblings who were scared of the dark was just something you were accustomed to. Even in your sleep state, you subconsciously leaned into the hug.
The next morning had been the last straw, the events of the night prior had been a distant memory, glossed over with drama and Bill's band practice plans. You hadn't expected Bill to kiss you, "good morning." As if you two were a thing. It was something you immediately backed awya from and tried to rectify. "Oh no no. Bill? Remember last night?" You asked, a step away from the confused blond.
Bill pulled a face, "Yeah? I asked you out and you righteously returned my affections." He looked genuinely confused, just like how he reacted to being asked a question in class. It was worrying you.
Your cheeks lit up like Christmas but not for the reason he likely thought and certainly not by your own will. The thought of well, being with him after you spent a year getting over him was no longer jn the cards. At one point yes but now that you succesfuly got over your little crush, the thought weirded you out.
"No, Bill. Look sorry for the confusion. I like you- but not like that! Like a friend Bill." You tried to explain.
"But Rufus said."
"Who's Rufus?" You asked.
Ever since then you had been thrown into thr deep end, time travel, historical figures, rock and roll and lastly, destiny. You had almost fainted when Bill explained that you two were destined to get together and that you would both produce children that would take over after Bill and Ted achieved what they were apparently supposed to. Timelines, timelines and timelines. You didn't know what to believe. If Rufus did exist... but with the eerie info he gave, it was hard to wrap your head around.
"I know it's a lot to take in babe, but if the future speaks, it speaks."
His large digits curled around your wrist, rivaling the speed of a frog catching a fly. His grip was firm but not sore, just freaking you out more than you already were. It was as if your best friend had flipped a switch or a few screws became loose. He wasn't taking the rejection lightly, instead pulling out some weird arguments out of his ass. If what he said was true, then wouldn't you feel the same?
"And now," His eyes glanced towards the rock calender hung up on the wall between the Preston's kitchen and front door. "I do believe It's Sunday and you're in my arms just like Rufus said." What he failed to mention was whether or not the future you had actually loved him or not. It was crazy, absolutely crazy.
Yeah, I need to be getting home now."
You tried shrugging out of his grip, only for Bill to frantically twirl you back around and away from the door.
"No wait! You'll see, promise?"
