Chapter 28: Truth and Revelation

    Arabella stays quiet and she looks at the guys. She knows that she has kept her true identity a secret for long enough now.
    "Alright, I suppose I owe you the truth. I am Queen Arabella. I plan on using my Fire Stone to one day take over this world and rule it like a dictator," She tells them with a strong cold voice. The men stay silent as they turn their heads to look at each other in confusion. They suddenly begin laughing loudly. Arabella keeps her face serious as she watches them laugh.
   Captain Kraton stops laughing when he notices the look on Arabella's face.
   "You seriously want to rule the world? That is impossible. There is no way that one single person could do such a thing," Captain Kraton says as the other guys slowly stop laughing.
"I have the will and means to do so. With the power of this stone, I can force the other kings to allow me to become the dictator. This sword that I have been searching for will help me complete my goal," Arabella keeps her distance from them as she speaks.
"You know, I have heard a lot of ridiculous things in my life but that right there has to be the biggest crock of shirt that I have ever heard!" Egore says as he lets out another loud laugh. Egore's attitude makes Arabella's blood boil.
   "Is it not a joking matter! One day I will rule the world,"
"And what roles will we play when you take over?" Captain Kraton asks as he pulls a small crate over to sit on.
    "You all can continue your normal lives. You will be able to help people as you normally do without any worry," She puts her arms out. The men look at each other once again.
   "So, when you take over, will we ever see you again?" Adrain asks quietly as he slowly moves from behind Egore's back. Arabella turns her gaze towards him.
"I cannot fully answer that question as I do not know how busy this new role will make me. But after I settled into my role and enact my new rules, I will make the effort to sail with you all again," she softens her facial expression as she speaks.
"Well, that is comforting to know," Adrian quietly says.
   A loud thunderous bang shifts everyone's attention to the sky for a moment. The men turn their gaze back to the young Queen.
"So, what do we do now?" Captain Kraton asks. Arabella turns away from the crew and looks out at the sea.
   "We continue sailing to our destination. From there we either find the sword or we do not," She says as she points towards an island that sits as far as the eye can see.
    "Then onward we sail with the hopes of finding that sword," Captain Kraton shouts with a smile as he puts his arm in the air. The other men nod as if they agree.
   Arabella keeps her gaze on the ocean waters watching the island come closer as the clouds slowly break apart in the sky.
The sun slowly rises from beyond the sea as the hours go by. The men do not speak to the young Queen thus making the journey awkward. she wonders if she has ruined the new friendships that she has created.
Arabella realizes that even Adrain is refusing to speak to her. She quickly shakes the idea out of her head and refocuses herself back to the main goal.
   The Queen smiles as she sees the sunlight shine down from the cracks in the clouds. The sunlight uncovers the island that continues to come closer to the ship. Arabella watches as the waves gently make contact with the ship.
"We are nearly there men. Prepare to dock on land!" Captain Kraton shouts from above the ship's steering wheel.
   Arabella looks up at him and gives a gentle smile. The Captain briefly looks at her before turning his gaze away.
Arabella feels her heart swell from within her chest. It is as if the friendships that she has made are now gone. She begins to wonder how different things would be right now if she had been honest from the start.
"Maybe I should talk to the guys and try to fix this," The young Queen thinks to herself.
She notices Adrian step onto the main deck and walks towards the edge of the ship. A smile forms on her lips as her heart feels warm from seeing him.
   "Is this love I am feeling? No, it cannot be. I barely know Adrain. Why do I feel this way when I see him? Arabella thinks to herself as she continues to watch Adrain look out onto the ocean waters.
Arabella once again tries to shake this feeling from her body. Perhaps once she has become the dictator she and Adrain can try to start a life together.
