The Legend Of The Five Queens : Arabella's tale

Chapter 32: The Invasion

Queen Arabella finds herself staring into the Well of Truth as she has found herself doing lately. It is a secret obsession of hers that she has latched onto. Arabella looks at her true reflection within the water. She is slowly beginning to understand what it means to be a Queen.
Suddenly there is a loud crash that causes pieces of the ceiling to fall. The castle walls shook violently and multiple loud crashes come one after the other. Arabella knew almost instantly what was going on, her castle is being attacked!
   Two knights frantically enter the room and stand at the stairs behind their Queen. Both men are panting hard and are covered in sweat, "My Queen, we are being under attack by what appears to be King Dietrich's army! We need to get you somewhere safe!" The one knight shouts. Queen Arabellas' eyes move to see the armored suit sitting in the room to her right. She knows what she must do right now.

"That bastard Gerald must have twisted my words to Dietrich! This is a mess that I must deal with. Stand outside the doorway men! I will join you shortly" she yells as she turns to face them. They quickly nod their heads and exit the room It is time she wears her prized possession. She walks across to the room with the armor. Arabella opens the door and looks at her armor once more. The armor is a dark crimson red, with boots that went up to her knees, breastplate that shows off her stomach and reveals a little bit of cleavage, her whole back is also fully covered. It is truly an incredible suit.
With swift movements she goes to her suit and puts on each part starting with her boots, then the red gauntlets, then the chest and back piece, then finally her small diadem on top of her head. With all the pieces together she was now ready for war. She quickly walks to the doors to which guards on the other side still await her. As the doors open the shaking guards turn around and step backward.

"M-my Queen, when did you get that armor?" The skinnier knight asks. Arabella's eyes flash bright red for a moment the return to normal.
   "Severus had it made for me," she responds. The castle suddenly shakes more causing parts of the ceiling to fall in front of them. "We have more oppressing matters to deal with at the moment," Arabella commands as the castle continues to shake more violently as more boulders slam against the castle.

"Let's go!!" She shouts before she starts running down the hallway. The two knights run-up to her. They both manage to get to her sides and run at her pace. They run to the big doors that lead to the front of the castle where the battle is taking place.
Arabella stops dead in her tracts and creates a giant floating lava ball above her left-hand sets it on fire. She sticks her hand out in front of her and makes the ball grow bigger. Her energy quickly flows into the ball that is increasing drastically in size. She smirks and fires the ball into the two doors. The ball explodes and the doors blast open causing it to fly into the battlefield. The two doors slam into a small group of soldiers killing them instantly. Arabella walks to the top of the stairway and scans the battlefield with her eyes. Some soldiers stop to look at her and others continue fighting each other. "So the guards were correct after all. King Dietrich's men are attacking my home. Very well, I have no choice. I must use this stone to its full potential," She thinks to herself.
She slowly pulls the energy from the stone and lets flows the energy to her hands causing her hands to heat up. Her hands catch on fire and she scans the area and decides who she wants to kill first.
Soldiers are stabbing one another as they try to damage their chest plates. The battle is becoming quickly becoming more intense. The Queen creates a medium-sized fireball and hurls it at a group of five soldiers knocking them down instantly. Enemy soldiers draw their swords and run towards Arabella. She smirks and blasts fire at the knights taking them off guard. They dodge the blast of fire and run at her with their swords drawn. She sticks her arm out and flattens her hand. A violent flame creates a sword made of the hot element. She runs towards the two enemy knights and slashes her sword at them. The fire sword connects with the knights' swords and breaks them into two separate pieces. She then turns and covers her hand in the fire and hits the knights in the face burning their faces badly. They close their eyes as they cry out in pain and burn alive. From the palm of her hand, a small fire-lava-like ball appears above it. The ball quickly grows rapidly in size.
