Reid's Point of View

"Okay, so just remember that Tessa is a lot," Olive warned me as we drove to her friend Tessa's place for dinner. The kids were with Daisy and Rebecca for the night. Her hands were fidgeting with the hem of the black dress she was wearing. That dress was definitely going to be a problem for me tonight. It clung to her every curve in the most perfect way possible. It was taking every ounce of willpower just to keep my eyes on the road. "Peter tends to calm her down, but just be prepared for her bulldozer ways."

"You do remember my family, right?" I asked, giving her a smirk.

"Yeah, I do. Oh! Okay there it is. Just pull in here." She pointed to Tessa's driveway. I pulled into the driveway and whistled when I got a look at the impressive modern house. I tended to go for more classic architecture, but that house was objectively beautiful. "Oh right, Peter is an architect and Tessa is an executive where I work. He designed the house."

"I'll have to give him my compliments." I said before turning to her, "And really, don't worry about me tonight. I just want to get to know your friends like you've gotten to know mine."

"I'm more worried about the fact that she's going to embarrass the shit out of me."

"Now I'm really looking forward to tonight." I leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to her lips before I got out of the truck. I waited at the front of my truck for her so I could hold onto her hand as I walked her up. I could feel the nerves building up inside me as we walked up the path. I really wanted her friends to like me. They were important in Olive's life, which means that their opinion was important to me.

Olive knocked on the door and soon it was being flung open. A young woman opened the door. She was beautiful, with her deep skin, perfectly styled box braids, and curvy figure, but no one could compare to my Olive. I could tell she didn't have the same shy temperament as Olive as she openly checked me out. "Damn you really do look like Thor." She grinned.

"Um, thanks?" I said before sticking my hand out, "I'm Reid."

"Oh I know, but Thor is more fun. I'm Tessa." She took my hand with a wink before looking over at Olive. "Alright come in, Peter is in the lounge. I need to get back to the kitchen before dinner burns." She quickly retreated into the house.

Olive took off her shoes, so I followed suit. I followed her through the incredible house which took us to the lounge. There Peter was sitting with a book in his lap. His light brown hair had natural streaks of auburn with eyes almost identical in colour. When he looked up at us he was completely relaxed but genuine smile appeared on his face as he set his book aside. He stood to his full height, only slightly taller than Olive. I could feel a sense of calm radiating off of him as he opened his arms in a hug which Olive quickly stepped into, "Hey Liv. I feel like I haven't seen you or Melody in forever."

Olive smiled as she stepped away. "I know, I've been a bit busy with this one."

"Ah yes, the famous Thor. It's nice to meet you." Peter extended his hand for me to take.

"It is nice to meet you too." I answered giving him a firm handshake, "So why is everyone calling me Thor?"

"Well, when Liv first met you, she described you as Thor but with better hair. The name kind of stuck." Peter looked over at me with a smile as Olive went beet red. It was adorable. I could see her start to get flustered, but I couldn't think why.

"Not going to lie, that is one hell of a compliment." I laughed. Olive's head whipped up and her eyes met mine. I gave her my best grin and a little wink. Anything to make her feel comfortable.
