Chapter 24

TimeSkip: 1 Month LaterTsukishima's Pov: I helped Tadashi sit down. He was still healing. I grabbed our crying baby and placed her on his chest. Tadashi pulled down his shirt and started breastfeeding. I sat beside him and watched. When Toshiko was finished I burped her and brought her to the nursery. We were both going off 3 hours of sleep.

I made a bagel for the both of us and I went to our room again. I looked at Tadashi and handed him the bagel. He looked upset.

"Tadashi what's up?"

"... nothing"

"Eat something. You'll pass out."

"Not hungry."

"You haven't eaten anything in 12 hours, please eat."

"I said I'm not hungry!"

I sighed and sat down beside him. He started to get up and go to the bathroom. He's been acting like this all week. He seemed so excited about Toshiko but now it seemed like he doesn't even want to breastfeed her. When he came out of the bathroom I picked him up and he hit me.

"Stop! I have to walk this baby fat off."

"I see what this is about now." His eyes watered and I brought him back to the bathroom.
"See it's not fair, Koshi and Shoyo lost all their baby fat within the same month."
"Stop comparing yourself to them. Your body is different."
"I gave birth a month ago and I still look fucking pregnant." He grabbed at his baby fat.

"It takes time, Tadashi. Your body always looks amazing and I like this baby fat of yours."

"Leave me alone..." He pushed me out of the bathroom and I sighed. 

TimeSkip: 1 Week Later
I got home from a meeting. I opened the door and heard Toshiko crying. I went up to the nursery. I changed her diaper and sighed. I rocked her back to sleep. I looked around for Tadashi so he could feed her. I couldn't find him anymore. I called out for him and he wouldn't respond back.

I looked in the bathroom and my heart dropped. He was in the bathtub fully naked. He was unconscious and I ran over to him. He was foaming from the mouth and I started crying.

"Fuck, fuck, Tadashi baby wake up." I grabbed my phone and called 911. I tried to pump his stomach. But he didn't wake up. I looked in the tub and saw weight loss pills. They were empty.

"Please tell me you didn't... I'm so sorry baby just wake up."

An ambulance came in and took him on a stretcher. As much as I wanted to go with him, I couldn't leave Toshiko by herself. The ambulance had come and left with Tadashi. I grabbed T

Toshiko and quickly went to the store. I bought some formula. I got back home and fed her. I made some more bottles and got diapers and put them all in the baby bag.

I put Toshiko in her car seat and drove to the hospital. I grabbed the baby bag, then Toshiko. A nurse led me to Tadashi's room and I bit my lip.

"He's in critical condition... we're hoping that his system releases the drugs in a week or less but if it doesn't, he's not going to make it."

I nodded at the doctor's words and took off my glasses. I put Toshiko in the stroller I had brought. She was sleeping and I grabbed Tadashi's hand.

"I can't lose you Tadashi... I can't raise her without you." A nurse came in and gave me a pamphlet. I looked at it.

Postpartum depression. Of course, how could I be so dumb to fail to notice.
"I'm sorry baby I should've gotten you help. Just please, please wake up."
