I was about ready to make sure she was okay. The way they were standing suggested they were talking about something serious, but after he handed her the thing, they hugged. I was surprised, and I stayed still, before he saluted her and walked away. She saluted back, an easy smile on her face. I walked over as fast as I could and asked, "What did he want?"
She turned and said, "Oh, I knew him from a family event. I vaguely recognized him, and I wanted to make sure." Alya said, "Family? Oh, good. I was worried we had another contestant for your heart." Marinette blushed and shook her head, "No, Alya! There's only one guy, and you know that."
Alya smirked, and all of our friends burst out laughing.
