"-we're siblings and I can't tell anyone and I don't know what those skeletons are, but I've called them before and I can't control them. They only come when I'm panicked and Chiron told me not to tell anybody but you're my siblings so... here we are."

Nico nodded, still leaning against his sword. Hazel sat on her bunk and said, "So, you're one of us." I nodded, and said, "I didn't want to tell anybody yet." Nico pointed at me, "Here's what I'm confused on. Why Athena?" I shifted, and bit my lip.

For those of you wondering, no. They did not know I was an ex-goddess. Only that I was half Hades. I said, "She blessed me when I was a kid. She also gave me the bow I had in the woods." Hazel nodded, "Okay. I guess that makes sense."

Nico crossed his arms, "You need someone to train you. If you don't get control of the spirits, they'll get control of you. Trust me, I know. Meet me here at 5 tomorrow morning. Training starts then."

***

I've been at camp for a week. I had been training with Nico every morning before anyone else woke up. Then, I did training with the seven for a few hours, and finally conditioning training for hours a day with rotating instructors. Mostly Annabeth and Piper, who seemed to be the best at internal combat.

Asteria had quickly become as big a sensation as the kwamis in my cabin, leading everyone to constantly want to play with one or the other. Longg was insulted by her, and the rest of the kwamis loved her.

I had set off the prank war with the Stolls yesterday even though Malcolm had warned me that he would kill me if I did. Now, I was hiding behind a tree as Malcolm chased me through the woods. Camp was good for me. I had finally discovered the side of me that only came out when I put on my miraculous and I was suddenly able to communicate like a normal human.

I was so deep in thought that when Malcolm said, "Marinette!" I screamed and punched him in the stomach. He bent over and I sprinted off into the woods, reaching a hand up and easily pulling myself up into a tree.

He ran right below me, a rush of curse words spilling out of his mouth. I sighed as I settled in the tree, panic forcing my heart rate to go fast. For your information, I had many reasons to be scared for my life. He was an Athena kid with a knife.

My fear was justified. I heard him run deeper into the woods, so I slipped out of the tree, wincing as the bark gave me a deep splinter in my palm. I bit back a screech of annoyance and I sprinted back to camp. Witnesses were good. As I was running, I ran into a girl. She had tons of muscles, and looked like she ate rocks for breakfast.

She said, "Watch it, brainiac." I leapt back, before turning and running. I felt her grab the scruff of my neck, and she said, "I wasn't done talking to you." I crossed my arms, "I was." All around me, I heard people gasp, "Ooh." She snarled, "So, we got a smart aleck."

I shrugged, "Who's we? I only see a weirdo." She growled, putting me down. I glanced back and saw Connor and Travis looking for me through the crowd. And then Malcolm came out of the woods. He caught my gaze and I turned back to her, "As fun as this was, I need to go."

She grabbed my arm as I tried to turn. I looked her dead in the eyes and said, "Let go." Her eyes glazed over, reminding me of how Adrien reacted to Kelli, and I pulled out of her dazed grasp.

As I was sprinting to the arena, a place I knew well, Hazel ran beside me, "What are we running from!?" I glanced behind me to see the boys in pursuit, "I kinda pranked the stolls when Malcolm told me not to. Now, I'm running from all of them." She grabbed my wrist and pulled me to the right. She said, "You charmspoke Clarrise back there."

I followed her, ducking under a sign, "I don't know what that means." She yanked my arm behind her, "It means you made her do what you wanted with love magic." I widened my eyes, and slid under a chariot by the hephaestus cabin. After about 10 minutes of running, she pulled me through the window and into the Hades cabin. She was breathing hard, bending over her knees.

I gasped out, saying, "So- you're saying... I used love magic?" I glanced up at her, and she nodded, "Y-yeah." She slowly stood, and walked over to the bed. She laid out and said, "How?" I sat beside her and said, "Aphrodite might have given me a blessing, too."

She sat up, leaning back on her hands, "You're kidding, right?" I shook my head and she laughed, "Oh my gods, Marinette. What other surprises do you have?" I shrugged, "I dunno." She shook her head, "I'm gonna help train you. I'm guessing you don't want this getting out either?" I nodded, and said, "Thanks for understanding, Hazel." She grinned, and I laid on the bed beside her, "Remind me to never provoke Malcolm again."

Hazel laid back, laughing, "He may be a bit nerdy, but he's definitely scary when he wants to be."
