I stood at the back of the Dining Pavilion, shifting from foot to foot. I had no idea where I was supposed to sit. I knew I was supposed to be with the Athena kids, but... where were they? I held my backpack straps, making sure it was still there. I didn't trust these kids anywhere near enough to leave the Miracle Box out in the open.

A familiar voice behind me said, "Marinette?" I whirled to see Jason raising an eyebrow at me, "Are you okay?" I shrugged, "Y-Yeah. F-Fine." He was intimidating, and I was already on edge from wandering a camp full of knife wielding maniacs all day. He stood beside me and said, "Do you know your godly parent?"

Haha, very funny universe. I was guessing he meant where I was staying, "Uh, Athena." He grinned, "Annabeth's in that cabin. You'll fit right in. Come on, I'll take you." I trailed nervously behind him as he led me to a table full of blonde kids. Oh, man. I was not going to fit in at all.

The girl who had kissed Percy stood as we approached. Jason said, "Hey, Annabeth. This is Marinette. New Athena camper." I waved shyly, and she grabbed my arm. She pulled me to sit beside her and said, "Welcome to the Athena cabin. Nice to meet you, Marinette."

I smiled briefly, before looking down. A boy beside me said, "I'm Malcolm. Nice to meet you, Marinette." I smiled and said, "N-Nice to meet you too." A girl across from me said, "Hi. Where are you from?"

I shifted, and said, "Paris." They all gasped, and I had the attention of the entire table. Annabeth said, "Have you been to the Eiffel Tower?" I nodded, remembering sitting on the bars, talking to Chat. Or saving the Eiffel tower from being launched into space. Or blown up. Annabeth said, "Oh my gods. You have to tell us everything about the architecture there."

I smiled nervously, "The Eiffel Tower is really cool. And, so are the other places there." They all groaned, and Malcolm said, "Come on, You're killing us, Marinette. Give us the details! Where have you been in Paris? What's it like?" Annabeth smiled softly, "Come on, Marinette. Tell us what your day was like out there."

I opened my mouth to tell them, even though my day was pretty boring, but Chiron was standing at the front. With... horse legs. I widened my eyes as he said, "Capture the Flag tonight! The seven against the rest of camp." I turned to Annabeth, "That doesn't seem very fair." She smirked wickedly, "It is, trust me."

Then, Chiron said, "We also have a new camper. Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Daughter of..." He trailed off as I stood. We made eye contact, and I tried to communicate with my eyes for him to not tell them how weird I was yet.

He eventually said, "Athena! Daughter of Athena!" I smiled in relief, and Tyson cheered, "Marinette!" I slowly sat back down, and Annabeth leaned over. She whispered, "Don't think I missed the little look you gave him. We're going to talk about that later, okay?" I shrugged and turned to Chiron. He said, "Now, let us feast."

I followed them, and grabbed food. But, instead of going back to our table, we headed to the bonfire. Annabeth was in front of me, and she scraped some of her food into the fire, looked up for a second. I stood hesitantly in front of the fire, and Malcolm leaned forward, "You're sacrificing food to the gods." I widened my eyes, and nodded.

I scraped a huge strawberry into the fire and thought, "Thanks for protecting me, Athena and Aphrodite. And hey, Mom and Dad." I turned away from the fire, heading to my table. I sat beside Annabeth, digging into my food.

I looked back at my backpack, knowing the kwamis were probably hungry. They were my responsibility. I looked around, before turning and unzipping my backpack. I could feel Annabeth's wary eyes on me. I knew she was insanely observant, but I had to feed them. They all practically tried to fly out. I shook my head as little as possible, and they floated back down.
