I sat down on my bed, feeling tired. I had just fought yet another akuma, and I could tell it was really starting to wear all of us down. I knew we only had a few days before Ladybug came back, and I really hoped she didn't have to stay longer. It was sort of killing us, and I knew Shadow Moth was getting closer and closer to beating us.

Plagg hovered in front of my face and said, "Adrien, this is getting ridiculous. The amount of akumas is getting insane." Kaalki hovered beside him and said, "I think this qualifies as an emergency." My head shot up to study him and I said, "Wait, really?" Tikki flew in between me and them and shouted, "NO! We must not retrieve my owner yet."

She turned to me and grabbed my face, "I know it is hard but my owner needs her space. We can do this. And she made me promise not to come get her unless someone as powerful as Cat Blanc showed up." I looked at her, and said, "First off, who's Cat Blanc? And secondly, does she think she should only be called if it's worth her time?"

They all shook their heads and Tikki said, "My owner didn't want to go. The only reason she did was to protect those she loves. She was told that unless she went, the attacks would continue." I stood up, "Is she being held hostage?"

Kaalki shook his head, "She's getting training. Soon, she will be just as powerful without her miraculous as with it. The majority of the attacks happened when she was a civilian anyways." I widened my eyes.

Right before she left, I remembered she had gotten thrown into the wall. And she screamed in pain, and limped the rest of the time we had fought that akuma. I said, "Has she gotten hurt before?" Tikki nodded, and they all looked down. Kaalki said, "She almost died. That's why she went."

I crossed my arms, "So you're telling me she went to learn how to defend herself and she doesn't want to be interrupted except in extreme emergencies?" They all nodded and Plagg put a hand on my shoulder, "I saw her injuries, Adrien. They were brutal." I widened my eyes, panic gripping my throat. I said, "She's okay now though, right?"

Tikki sighed, and turned away from me, "We can pray she's okay. We don't know for sure, and the people she's with aren't exactly...." She trailed off and Kaalki said, "Sane?" Tikki whirled, and nodded, "Not exactly sane. Or safe. Thankfully, she was very careful with who she trusted when I was with her. I don't know now."
