Warning: triggering topics of parental abandonment

When we arrived back at the TVA, we were
immediately arrested.

Sylvie was separated from us nearly immediately, and several guards now escorted me and Loki down the hall.

There were two guards on Loki, and three on me. Mobius walked alongside us.

"Well?" Mobius asked as we were escorted down the orange hallway.

"Well, what?" Loki replied bitterly.

"I know you got some quip you're dyin' to say." Mobius said.

"I don't have a quip. I've got nothing to say." Loki said, and I nearly scoffed.

"Yeah, right." I said with a smirk, just loud enough for Loki to hear.

"Come on." Mobius urged.

"By the way, I should have an equal amount of security. This is insulting!" Loki quipped, and I chuckled internally. There it was.

"You just can't help yourself." Said Mobius.

"You betrayed me!" Loki raised his voice, wounded.

"You betrayed me!" Mobius replied as we came to the interrogation room.

"Grow up!" Loki said as both of us were practically shoved through the doorway.

"You grow up." Mobius shot back.

"You guys! Quit the playground insults!" I said with an exasperated sigh.

They ignored me, continuing to duke it out.

"You know, it occurred to me that you're not really the God of Mischief." Mobius said to Loki.

"Oh, here it comes." Loki said, rolling his eyes.

"The folksy, dopey insult from the folksy dope. What am I? The God of Self-Sabotage, yeah? The God of Back-Stabbing?"

"Just kind of an asshole and a bad friend." Mobius said blatantly. The words hit deep, and we all knew it.

"Yeah, chew on that for a little bit." Mobius said, just as the soldiers set up a doorway that looked like the ones created by the TemPad, only it was red. They made another- one for me I assumed.

"All right. They're ready." Mobius said, gesturing to the doorways

"What is this?" I asked, slightly panicked.

"You'll see." Mobius said, gesturing for the soldiers to shove us in. We both struggled against their firm grips, but with the amount of guards on us it was in vain.

"Mobius!" Loki yelled in the last second

"Okay. No, no, no, let him," Mobius said, calling the guards off. The soldiers paused, holding us in place as we pleaded.

"One last desperate trick from the desperate trickster. Go ahead." Mobius said, much to my relief.

"The TVA is lying to you." Loki panted, eyes pleading.

There was a tentative pause, and my palms were sweating so much I might have been able to slip free from the soldier's grasps.

"Put him in." Mobius said finally, and the guards resumed their orders.

"No!" I screamed, just as I was shoved into the glowed red doorway.

I landed with a hard thud on an oddly grainy surface. Where was I?

I grunted as I stood, eyes adjusting to take in my surroundings. It was my home. My parents' house.

The sun beat down on me as I stared at the place full of memories. I took a step forward, able to make our muffled speaking and the silhouettes of two figures inside. Pressing my nose against the glass, I took in the scene.
