Chapter 8

I followed Dipper and Mabel into their room in the shack. Tension crackled in the air as we sat on the floor. What ever he is about to tell me must be pretty important for him to act like that.

Dipper let out a long breath and finally spoke. "Ok, so this is what I know." He started. "Bill Cypher, the triangle guy, is a dream demon. He can sneak into your dreams, change them, and even possess bodies."

A cold sweat formed on my face.

"Bill can make deals...but the way he puts them isn't true to what you think." Dipper looked over at Mabel.

"Yah, Bill has his own rules to deals so he can trick you into giving him what eve he wants!" Mabel told me.

I looked back and forth between them. "I can't believe this...how-how do you know all this?"

Dipper glanced away. "I already told you...we can't tell you."

I clenched my teeth together angrily, but maintained me anger.

Mabel got up. "I'll be right back bro bro, just keep taking to her." And with that, Mabel left us awkwardly together.

I sat in silence, but my mind was chaotic. What do I do? What do I say? Do I say anything? Does he actually like me? Is Bill making him like me? Is Dipper pretending to be nice so he doesn't hurt my feelings? What is he thinking? Is he thinking about me? I didn't really pay attention to the thick and heavy silence till I stopped thinking so much, then things became really awkward. "Uh...Dipper," I started. I immediately regretted speaking. I didn't even know what to say. ", do-do" I stuttered. What do I say now?! "Um...why are so ashamed of how you are now?" I bit my lip. What the heck type of question it that?!?!

Dipper seemed taken back. "Uh...what do you mean?"

"I...um, well, you always seem embarrassed about what you do or your always nervous." I told Dipper.

Dipper's face grew red. "Uh-uh." He brushed back his hair and started to tap his fingers together. "I don't know...it's just how I am...why?"

"I was just wondering." More silence. Suddenly Dipper asked a startling question.

"What do you think of me, besides that?"

I stiffened. Was he technically asking me if I liked him? "Well, I see you as funny...sometimes brave and," Here it goes. "Cute."

Dipper flushed. "Ah, oh. Well...oh." He said flustered.

I smiled. It was so cute when he was embarrassed, awkward or when he was just Dipper. I opened my mouth to speak, but Mabel opened the door.

"Hey-oh!!!" She shouted. She was carrying her pig, Waddles, who was oinking. Mabel stopped in her tracks as she spotted us. A big smile spread across her face. "Hmmmm. Interesting." She said.

I looked back at Dipper with huge elation. Maybe he did like me after all.
