When it was about six o'clock I snuck out of my house and ran to the shack. I had to continue my job. I was overwhelmed by the information wanting to be set free, but I did my best to ignore it. "Stupid Bill." I muttered as I lock-picked the gift shop door open. "Messing up the deals." I entered and walked over the the vending machine to type in the code. "Makes me do his dirty work." The door opened so I went down quickly. "Can't do anything for hisself." I entered the elevator. "Makes me do it all." The door opened and I stepped out. I grabbed the computer and went to the portal. I almost dropped the laptop again. The portal was blue again. "Son of a..." I said angrily. I opened the laptop and typed angrily.
"Now now, don't get so feisty." Bill cooed.
"I don't need you talking to me." I muttered irately.
The portal changed back to the purple so I could continue.
"Oh, I will talk to you. Just so you know, this isn't a single day project." He warned.
I rolled my eyes. "Oh, you think I haven't figured that out yet." I pressed the enter key. I screamed as everything suddenly defied gravity and started floating and the we dropped back down. "What happened Bill?!" I asked. For some reason, that short, strange occurrence scared the heck out of me. My heart pounded hard in my ribcage.
"It's working, continue." Bill urged.
"No, I'm done for today. I'm going to go sleep and have some peaceful dreams, because I'm tired of this." I slammed the laptop shut, set it on the table and just like that, I left the shack in an instant. I marched home in a huff. I was so sick and tired of Bill and his controlling ways. He wasn't actually that powerful if he needed me to help. I snuck back inside and went to bed as if none of that ever happened.
But it all did.
