"You're gonna teach me to do WHAT?!" I asked, my eyes feeling like they were going to pop out of my head as Dom placed the gun in my hands. "No. I don't want to."

"I know you don't want to, but you need to be able to at the very least defend yourself," He said calmly as he watched me stare at it. "You can touch it. It's not gonna explode."

"My dad is going to kill you if he finds out what you're teaching me," I muttered under my breath as he and the others chuckled. It was just him, Tej and Han, of course. Roman was off doing other things that he prefered to keep private. "I have to study. I have three exams this week!"

"You ever have anything you wanted to keep secret from your dad?" Dom asked as Han and I glanced at each other, him smirking at me. "This would be one of those things."

Not wanting to say anything I'd regret, I muttered under my breath and stood up, holding the handgun carefully like it was a bomb in my hands. "Okay, fine. I'll learn how to use it. Will I like it? No. But will I learn? I guess I don't have a choice."

Dom rolled his eyes as he walked ahead of me to go set up a couple of targets, leaving me behind with Tej and Han. Tej laughed at me every time I made a face when I looked down at the gun I was surprisingly still holding.

"It's not that bad. You're just overreacting," he chuckled, shaking his head. "You're also just a little baby."

"I'm not much younger than all of you, and I think you keep forgetting that," I huffed as I kept a straight face. "You're just mean."

"Oh, you know he didn't mean it," Han said as he touched my arm, sending shivers down my spine. "I don't think you're a baby."

I smiled at him, my face dropping at Tej when he laughed again. Dom saying that he had gotten everything set up made me turn around, chewing on the inside of my cheek as I saw that there were five different targets. I swallowed harshly as he told me how I was going to learn to shoot this thing.

"Your goal is the target there in the middle, but I obviously don't expect you to hit it on the first try...or any of them for that matter," He laughed as I glared at him. "Oh, this'll be easy. It's a handgun. I could've got you something else."

"I didn't even want this one," I commented as he moved me to the first target. "I can't believe I'm doing this."

While Dom and Tej were laughing at me complaining, Han stepped up behind me. "I'll teach you," he whispered in my ear, making me shiver again. "First you have to be standing right," he said as he placed a hand on my hip, turning my leg so that I was facing forward. "Then you hold it straight in front of you," he said as he brought my arms up, his hand running up the back of my arm as he straightened my elbow, doing the same with the other arm, making sure to take his time touching me. "And then we're just gonna..." He trailed off as he moved my hands forward, lining up my fingers with the dents on the handle, and the other hand with a finger on the trigger. "Perfect. Like that."

"You're taking your sweet time showing me how to hold this thing," I muttered as he laughed against me. "Pretty risky."

"I could kiss you and start a fight," He teased. "But I won't."

Han instructed me to keep my arms straight when I pulled the trigger so the feedback from the shot wouldn't dislocate my elbow. Dom stood behind us with his arms crossed, watching intently as I hesitated to pull the trigger, screaming when I finally did. I looked away, my heart pounding in my chest.

"Not bad. Not bad at all," Han said as I opened up my eyes to look at the target. The bullet had went just centimeters away from the bullseye in the middle. "I'm impressed."
