Tony had had a long day. Between the mission, the shock of hearing Harley call him 'dad' and the hours at the lab with Bruce, he was exhausted. To be honest, there were a few hours that were just a fog in his memory. He didn't quite remember what he had been doing with his science bro, but he dismissed it as exhaustion and got ready for the party.

By ten o'clock at night, the penthouse was full of people laughing and drinking, enjoying the victory of the avengers.

"Well, you know, the suit can take the weight, right? So I take the tank, fly it right up to the General's palace, drop it at his feet, I'm like, 'Boom! You looking for this?'"Rhodey finished his story and he and Thor just looked at him blankly. "Boom! Are you looking... Why do I even talk to you guys? Everywhere else that story kills. "

The blond asked confused, "That is the whole story?"

"Yeah, it's a War Machine story."

"Well, it is very good then," he laughed falsely, "Very impressive."

But Rhodey deadpanned, "Quality save. So, no Pepper? She's not coming?"

"No," Tony smirked knowing that a lot of people thought he and the redhead were dating.

Maria said, "Hey, what about Jane? Where are the ladies, gentlemen?"

"Well, Miss Potts has a company to run."

"Yes, I am not even sure what country Jane's in. Her work on the convergence has made her the world's foremost astronomer."

The genius saw the opportunity to banter with Thor and took it, "And the company that Pepper runs is the largest tech conglomerate on earth. It's pretty exciting."

"There's even talk of Jane getting a... um, uh... Nobel prize."

"Yeah, they... they must be busy because they'd hate missing you guys get together," Maria mock coughed, "Testosterone! Oh, excuse me."

Rhodey looked at her amused, "Want a lozenge?" She hummed in agreement, "Let's go."

Once they were both far enough, Thor said, "But Jane's better."

Tony chuckled, "Dude, you know I'm not dating Pepper. Besides, if Pep and Jane find out about the conversation we just had they would kick our asses for using them to compete with each other."

"True."

"And your brother, well, he would send us to another dimension simply for being stupid."

Fear passed through the god's face quickly, "I will not say anything about what just happened if you do the same.

"So that's the famous Asgard."

Loki watched fondly as Harley analyzed the little illusion he had created to show him the golden realm. "What do you think? Are you sad that you cannot visit?" He asked, genuinely concerned that the kid would resent him for having most of his people against him.

He shook his head, "Nah, it's too shiny. Why would anyone need so much gold?"

"It gives a signal of abundance, riches and power. Also of great ideals, wisdom and knowledge. It is just another way for Asgard to make other realms feel inferior."

"That's dumb," Harley said with a frown. "Besides, in this house we already have enough gold, what with all of Dad's Iron Man suits."

For a second, the kid seemed to stop breathing. When he looked at him unsure and with his cheeks flushed, Loki immediately understood what was happening.

"You know, little one, I have never heard Anthony so happy as when he heard you call him 'dad'. Although I do not have much room to talk, I have never felt as happy as when you called me 'papa' and 'pops'."
