*Morgan's POV*
Let's just say, I'm having a bad day but I'm sort of a little happy because I'll be seeing Mr. Williams or may I say the Principal of the school I work at. That man really is something, if you ask me. I am running late for school because one; it's that time of the month. Two, my pants ripped. Those damn pants! And three, I spilled my coffee on my jacket. What a way to start the morning? Right?
"Thanks. Keep the change." I mumble getting out of the cab not bothered to grab my change because that'll only just eat more time and I'm already running late. No thanks. I scramble into the lobby and nervously smile at the receptionist, Mrs.Russell. I noticed that I've missed half of the first period which thankfully I didn't have a relief class on my timetable.
Walking mindlessly I knocked over something hard causing me to lose my balance but something caught me, because I didn't end up falling and probably hitting my head hard on the floor. When I look up at that 'something', I silently gasp. It's him. Gosh! I probably look like a zombie without makeup and all. And there he is standing dashing as always.
"Are you alright?" My stomach churns at the sound of his voice. He's making this ten times more difficult than it already is, plus with the stomach cramps. How lovely!
"Yeah- I think so.." I answer and then notice he's still holding my hand.
"Good. I was just about to come by the library." He says
"You were?" I ask mindlessly. "I mean" I cleared my throat awkwardly. "Well, about that... I um, I just came to school" I say slowly, not really making eye contact because honestly I'm scared of his reaction. He's my boss after all. He just keeps his stare on me and I tremble inside.
"Oh really?" He states more than ask. "And may I ask why, Miss Morgan?" He asks and I can't tell if he's annoyed or angry. Maybe both.
"Uh.." how on earth am I going to explain to him? "Um-well, I um. I'm having stomach cramps." I admitted and he just stared at me, clearly not expecting me to say something like that.
"I'm sorry- uh, you may go home, Morgan. I'll cover up for you." I couldn't help the smile that crept onto my lips. This is why I like this man. He's very kind for being a Principal.
"Thank you so much, Mr. Williams" I say gratefully and he gives me a smile. I return it and awkwardly turn around to walk downstairs.
*Meriliya's POV*
When we enter the library, I stop in my tracks. The Principal is seated behind Morgan's table. What is he doing here? Oh my gosh! Did he fire her?
"Oh. Look who's here. Again." He crosses his hands in front of him.
"Uh yeah. I mean- yes sir" I quickly corrected myself awkwardly. Without wasting another minute of awkwardness I lead Mitchell to one of the biggest shelves.
"What are you doing?" Micthell whispers.
"He can't hear us." I smile. "We'll just stay here for the rest of the period. What do you have next?" I ask him
"I have uh-English I guess. You?" He asked me.
"Psychology" I answered and he nodded. "Wanna sit down here?" I asked him.
"Okay." He smiles and I sit down, grabbing four cushions and placing them around us. "So you've been here before?" He asks me and I smile, nodding after. "Cool. I thought I was the only one who came here...besides the relief classes and all." He says and I jod along.
"Wonder what happened to Ms. Morgan..." I say
"Yeah..she would've taken the day off" he says and I nod. "Do you travel alone or something?" He asked me.
"Yeah"
"Oh. Would you mind if I tag along?" He asked, being a little hesitant.
"Sure." I smiled. "We better ho off to our next classes. I don't wanna be late..." I say
"Yeah, I'll see you at lunch or you have plans?" He asks before we head to the door.
"We can sit together at a table" I tell him and we walk to the door. "We'll be leaving sir." I inform the Principal and he looks up from the book he was reading.
"Alright. No bunking classes, people" he says and we laugh quietly before leaving the library for our next classes.
I say a quick bye to Mitchell before walking to the Psychology class. I still around the hallways and finally find the Psychology classroom.
"Yes?" I look up to find the teacher I presume.
"Um hi ma'am. Can I come in?" I hesitantly ask.
"Yeah, take a seat there." She gestures to the tables and chairs arranged in groups oddly. I smile and sit in one of the groups where there's yet students to occupy. Hopefully there won't be many students. After waiting for about ten minutes the teacher walks to the front of the classroom probably to address us.
"Hello. My name's Emily Sanders. I'll be teaching you guys throughout the end of this year and half of next year and I hope you guys make use of this class because we will be doing a lot of things and I expect you all to be studios. I'd like it if you use two notebooks for your notes. One for my notes that I'll be giving you and your own personal notes. I hope you have purchased the textbook from the bookstore, if not, make sure you get it by the end of this week. I guess that's about the subject part of it. Well, since today's your first day, we will use this time to get to know each other and then we'll start the first lesson according to the syllabus the next day. Any questions?" I smile nodding my head no as do the others.
"Alright then. Let's start from your name and just a little sharing about yourself, okay?" She explains and a girl stands up starting off.
"Hi, my name is Nadia Reyes. I live closeby with my younger sister and my brother who's an infant with my family. I want to pursue being a teacher who helps special needs children" she says and I smile.
"That's wonderful Nadia. Next person?"
"I'll go?"
"Sure"
"My name is Kathrine but I prefer Kelly. I live just five kilometres away from school. I'm an only child and what do I want to pursue? I think a fashion designer? I'm still not sure but that's it for now I guess." Katherine, I mean Kelly ends her speech and sits down.
And then student after student stand up, give their speech and sit down again. That kept going for about ten to fifteen times until it was my turn.
"Hello, I'm Meriliya. As you probably know I'm from Florida, just moved here two weeks ago. I'm hoping I'll get through semesters and then make it to college and then maybe pursue in Music or maybe English. Other than that, I look forward to learning a lot and having fun. Thank you." I sit down and after a few more students, I pull out my copy of Pride and Prejudice.
