Chapter 25

"Hey, I'm ordering pizza! What would you have?" I hear Fallon shout from downstairs.

"Just make sure there's pepperoni in the pizza and can you get some fries?" I ask her, waiting for her response by the railing by the stairs.

"Okay!" She shouts back and I walk back to my room and continue reading my Business studies textbook.

Today's Saturday and I've been buried in my books since Friday. Going back to Thursday, Edward dropped me off home around two. It was so late and hopefully he reached his house safely. I've not been on my phone since then and I'd say that has majorly made a change. I've saved up all that time I used to text and be on Instagram, Pinterest and Wattpad. I don't feel good about not texting my friends and my boyfriend. Wow that feels weird saying it. But yeah, I'll have to talk to him soon though.

"Liya! Food's arrived!" I close the textbook and go downstairs for dinner.

"Lily?" I called our little pup Fallon brought from the puppy mill the other day. We Facetimed and she was walking around, showing me all the cages until we saw Lily jumping around in her little own cage with her tongue out. She was so adorable and it was quite interesting how fast she got friendly. When Fallon knelt down in front of Lily's cage, Lily literally just put her small paw on Fallon's lap. That's when we decided she's the one. That evening Lily was our new puppy but too bad I couldn't spend so much time with her at first and even now. It's mostly just here and there.

"Oh hey. How's it all going?" Fallon is setting up the pizza on the table and has got our plates ready. I take a seat across from where she's standing and serve myself a slice of pizza.

"Good. It's a lot but good" I said, referring to studying business. "Lily's not around?" I asked after a couple of seconds.

"Should be hiding around somewhere" she says and I hum. "Oh. I almost forgot. I'll be out tonight and will be home tomorrow like after school or sometimes even later" she says

"Okay" I say and take a bite of my slice. Yum! "This is good"

"Yeah but it's probably all junk" she says and laughs. "Edward has sent me a text," she says, making my head snap up.

"When?"

"A while ago. Says he wants to meet you. He misses you. And a sad face emoji" she says and I sigh. "What's up with that?" She looks at me.

"I have to talk to him..." I sigh and finish up my pizza.

I go upstairs and get my phone out from the bed cupboard and type in the passcode. When I open mine and Edward's chat, I feel bad. He has sent me a bunch of messages along with five missed calls. Poor baby. I sigh and sit down on the bed and begin to type him a message.

Me:

Hey Eddie, I'm sorry I've not been online. I've been studying and my phone has been in the bed cupboard since Friday. I've not been on my phone at all until now. You had called Fallon and she told me. I'm sorry baby, I'm sorry for worrying you. I'm not mad at you or anything like that. I was just studying okay? Have you been studying? What subject do you have on Monday? Was it Biology? Hope your studies go well. Study hard. Good night, baby.

I pressed 'send' and tossed my phone on the bed and went to take a shower for the night. I take my time in the hot shower because it's getting cooler in the nights and I don't like when it's too cold in the nights so I prefer having hot showers before bed. When I come out of the bathroom I quickly change into loose fitting pants and a hoodie for the night. I knock off my lights, leaving the lights on top on and get under the comforter.
