Shay's Point Of View:

The chipping of birds had echoed through the ears of Shay the birds were a bright shade of red they reminded her of the crimson blood that ran throughout her body; they startled her waking her up from her strange dream, wondering if it were good or bad or both. She fluttered her eyes open bringing herself to sit up, she yawned rubbing her tired eyes, and glanced at the time "Still early" she uttered before getting out of her bed. Her head was full of blurry thoughts and her body felt heavy.

Opening her wardrobe she pulled out a few of her favorite outfits she thought she needed for a weekend away as well as any other essentials she needed for her trips such as a toothbrush and hand sanitizer; to the place, her friends and family had begged her to go since she couldn't express how concerned they were about her.

The house was vacant; it was always quiet and it almost felt as if she were living with a ghost the absence presence of the person she once lived with gone. She couldn't stomach food most of the time anymore, it made her nauseous so breakfast was completely out of the question most mornings.

Shay had a big house in the county side; the house was decorated in a modern style with paintings of newer artists with who she shared interests big enough to be shared with two or more people. The house was empty though, with so many rooms and all the space to make her feel trapped, she needed some fresh air; new and fresh faces to look at.

With a final look, she gazed at her house her thoughts bouncing off the walls feeling the empty void in her chest deepen with every passing second she stayed she knows the trip will do her good she hoped it will at least. and with that, she closed the door and left now with no one there to watch her back.

she made her way to the airport without any hassle her flight was called and she managed to enter the plane without anything going wrong. Just her luck. Relieved by the little casualties she faced when finding her seat she lifted her not so heavy luggage up to store it; she had accidentally bumped it with the unknown man who appeared next to her "Oh I'm sorry" The man laughed gesturing his hand for her to take the first space "No worries" he replied giving her a warm closed eye smile; Shay replied with a soft thank you smiling back at him before taking a seat.

Coincidentally he's seat was right next to Shay; they shared another small smile at each other before the navy-haired woman had adverted her eyes away from the ginger-haired man and placed her sunglasses on that had fit neatly on her face just so she could avoid any further interaction with anyone for that matter, not in an insulting way but; just for her to take this time to fully enjoy her trip.
