Chapter 11

Sylvies pov:
It has been 2 weeks and Matt and i have looked at a few houses. We have found a house that we really like. We put a offer on the house and we should be getting call soon if we got the house. We are at shift and its 9pm I have been going on ride alongs because sitting at 51 is getting boring. The bells go off  "truck 81 squad 3 ambo 61 battalion 25 house fire 51st and kenton". We get in the rigs and head to the scene. We get to the scene and its a blazing house fire. Truck and squad go in for search.

Matts pov:
We enter the house truck search's upstairs while squad searches the main level. We find 2 adults they tell us they have a baby across the haul. Chief orders us out but i stay to get the baby. I find the baby and head to the door. Before i can get to the door a beam falls on my head. I manage to get to the door i hand the baby off to Stella than i pass out.

Sylvies pov:
Matt comes out and hands the baby to stella than he passes out. Kelly and and cruz rush to get him on the gurney. Violet take off his mask and i help. His head was hit. We hurry and get him in the ambo. Kelly and i get in the ambo with violet and Rafferty drives the paramedic covering for me. And matt starts to code . I help violet do compressions. I say "come on matt". A minute later we get a heart beat. Than he has a seizure. The seizure stops and we get to med. and they rush him into surgery. The rest of the team shows up and stella comes and sits by me. 2 hours later dr.Abrams comes to the waiting room and i stand up. And say "is he okay?". He says "he had a brain bleed we got it under control and he should be fine". I sigh in relief and ask if i can go see him. He says yes and walks me to his room he says "he still asleep but he should wake up within the hour or so". I say "okay". I pull a chair up to the side of the bed and i grab his hand hand his hand and give it a kiss. I sit there for 35 minutes until he wakes up. He opens his eyes and looks around. I say "your awake". He says "what happened". "You had a brain bleed but they stopped it. He says "oh". I say "yeah" and give him a kiss on his forehead. I will go get the doctor i say.

Matts pov:
I wake up confused in the hospital with the worst headache you could possibly imagine i see Sylvie by my side and i ask what happened. She said i had a brain bleed. She gives me a kiss and goes and gets the doctor. The doctor comes in. And ask how i am doing. Still confused i say "fine but i have a terrible headache". He says "that is to be expected your vitals look good try to get some rest". I say "okay". And he leaves. I scoot over and have Sylvie sit by me. And i end up falling back asleep. I wake up at 6:30 am. I get up to use the bathroom and get really dizzy. I come back out and the doctor comes in a few minutes later witch wakes up Sylvie. The doctor says I'm doing good and should be able to go back home in a few days but i have to take it easy. I say "okay".

Few days later..
Matts pov:
I get to go home today. The doctor discharges us. And we head home. I walk Inside the loft still feeling dizzy when i stand up but didn't bother to tell anyone because I figure it was common. We get inside and Sylvie gets a call.

Sylvie pov:
I help matt inside and than i get a call. "Hello is this Sylvie brett". I say "yes". "Well i am calling to say your offer on the house was accepted". I say "okay thank you". They say "okay" and say a few other things before i hang up. I look up at matt and say "are offer was accepted on the house". He says "okay".

Matts pov:
Sylvie told me the offer on the house was accepted. Not remembering much about any offers i just say "okay". Thinking my memory will come back in a few day. I get up to go shower. I take a quick shower. I get dressed. I start getting a headache so i take my medicine that they prescribed me while Sylvie makes lunch. And i sit in the kitchen staying quiet putting my face in my hands.

Sylvies pov:
While Matt showers i start lunch. He comes out  and takes his medicine and sits down quiet. Figuring he's probably tired and still in a little pain i leave him be. I finish cooking and i make  matt and i are plates and go sit next to him. I ask "how are you feeling". He responds "just a little tired". I rub his back and say "okay". We finish eating. I do the dishes while matt grabs a water and go sits in the chair in the living room. I finish the dishes and go find Matt napping. I wake him up a little figuring he wants to go to the bedroom to sleep. He gives me a little kiss and goes to nap in the bedroom. I get a text from severide. "How is casey doing". I respond. "He seems a little off but he says he's tried but you know how he is". He responds "yeah um okay if anything happens let me know". I say "okay i will". Than do some laundry.

Matts pov:
I wake up and look around. I see Sylvie is not in the room so i get up. I get up and get really dizzy and almost fall but i catch myself. I go and find Sylvie in the living room cleaning up. She gives me her most beautiful smile and ask how i feel. I say " bit better". She smiles and says "good". I say "your the most beautiful girl". She smiles and gives me a kiss i say "i love you". She says "i love you too". We spend the rest of the day at home.
