Chapter 5

Bretts pov
Matt and i head to 51 once we get there we say hey to everyone. And eat breakfast. After i eat breakfast i go do paperwork. Matt comes and says "hey wanna come in my quarters you can bring your paperwork". So I gather my paperwork and head to his quarters. Once i get  to his quarters he gives me a kiss and i sit at his desk and he sits on the bed. While we are talking he ask " so what do you think the genders of are babies are". I say " I'm not sure i hope its a boy and a girl what do you think it is" he says " i think its a boy and girl". I smile and say "oh". The bells go off "truck 81 squad 3 engine 51 ambo 61 car accident. Matt gives me a kiss and says " i love you". than goes get into the rigs. I worry about him when he goes on calls because i know how dangerous it is. I sit in his quarters and finish paperwork.

Matts pov:
We arrive to the scene. I start giving orders. I go and check on the passenger of the first car. The door was stuck so i had kelly get the jaws. Once we get the victims out we clean up and head back to the firehouse. Once i get to the firehouse i see that Sylvie is still in my quarters so i go and say hi to her and give her a kiss because i know she gets worried when i go on calls. We head to the common room and everyone is chilling. Herrmann is talking about some Molly's ideas like he always is while I decide to make lunch. After i finish cooking i go and sit at the table by brett. She looks off so i ask her if shes okay. She gets up and walks to the bathroom.  I follow her. Once i get to the bathroom i walk in and see her standing at the sink worried. I look at her and she is crying so i give her a hug and a kiss on the forehead. I say "baby what's wrong". She says while crying "I'm scared that something is going to go wrong and i feel super sick all the time and i can never eat. I give her a hug and say "I'm sorry i love you so much". She looks at me and says "are you sure this is what you want 2 kids with me" While crying.  I say "Sylvie i love you more than anything i want you and are 2 little babies and nothing can change that okay baby". She says "okay". I say "how about i get someone to cover me and me and you can go home and chill in are pajamas and watch movies or whatever you want to do. She says "okay". I say "okay". I go and find chief and ask him if Sylvie and i can go home because she isn't feeling well. He says "yeah of course i will find someone to cover for you don't worry". I say "thanks chief". Than go and grab Sylvie to head home.

Bretts pov:
Once we get home i put on black sweats and one of matts plain navy blue shirt. Matt changes into jeans and a plain button up. I grab a blanket and we lay on the couch and cuddle while we watch Netflix. 45 minutes later i fall asleep.

Matts pov:
While we are cuddling on the couch watching Netflix Sylvie falls asleep. I don't get up i continue to cuddle with her and 15 minutes later I'm asleep to.

Bretts pov:
I wake up a hour later laying on matts chest. I look up and see that he is still asleep. I don't get up for 5 minutes. Once i get up  i give him a kiss. And go to the bathroom. I decide to take a hot shower hoping it will help me feel better. While i am in the shower matt wakes up and tells me that he is going to go to the store really quick and he will be back soon i say "i love you". Than he leaves.

Matts pov:
While brett is in the shower I decide that im going to go to the store so i let her know than leave. I get to the store and go grab flowers for her than get her a little teddy bear and some of her favorite snacks. Because I know she is having a tuff time with her pregnancy and I love her so much more than words can ever describe. On the drive home i find myself thinking about how i want to spend the rest of my life with her. I knew she was the love of my life but I never really thought about marriage. I find myself tearing up and smiling because of how much i love her. Once i get home. I walk in and see Sylvie in blue sweats and my shirt with her hair down while wet. I give her kiss and tell her that i got her something. We go into the kitchen and give her her flowers. She smiles and says "thank you babe i love you so much". I say "ofc my love i love you more than give her a hug and kiss.

Bretts pov:
After Matt gives me flowers and a stuffed bear. I tell him i love him and give him a kiss. We chill at home for the rest of the day. We cuddle and watch movies. Matt makes dinner so we eat. Than matt showers. Once he gets out we brush are teeth and head to bed. We end up cuddling for a little bit talking about random things.

Matts pov:
While me and Brett are talking and cuddling in bed i cant get the idea of me wanting to marry her. I know we haven't been together long but i do really want to marry her i dont know how long it will be till I propose but i don't want it to be to long because i have learned that life is short and that something can happen in a split second. I look down and see Sylvie passed out so i give her a kiss and head to sleep.
