Shikamarus pov
This adding on hours to my shifts went on for weeks. I couldn't even spend proper time with neji cause he'd be fast asleep by the doorway by the time I got home. It angered me but one thought kept me sane.
My payday.
The amount of money I get payed for these extra shifts will allow me to take some time off to spend with neji. That will make all this worth it. So my pay day came round and I got...Paid the same amount I would have been paid for a regular shift.
My eyes went dark and my jaw clenched. No I shouldn't lose it! Maybe there was a mistake. I should confront my boss about this.
I walked up to her room and knocked on the door.
"come in" she said in a bored tone.
I stepped in "hey there seems to be a mistake with my pay. I did alot of extra shifts and should be getting paid alot more than this"
"and why should I pay you extra?" she stood up suddenly. I could tell she was about to go on a rant so I pulled out my phone "your just a young handsome boy who thinks he can get whatever he wants. The amount of work you do doesn't mean shit to me. At the end of the day I get to choose whether or not you get paid"
"so your not paying me" I said continuing to record.
"that's right. In fact I'm going to keep you on those shifts and if you want to keep your job I suggest you shut your mouth and-" she stopped once I revealed the phone I was recording her with.
"now I could show this to HR but that sounds like a real pain so how about this. You pay me what I'm owed and continue to pay me what I'm owed and we can forget this ever happened. Agreed?"
"yeah sure" she said gripping her desk. I guess she angry about being bested by a kid.
"oh and one more thing" I activated my shadow possession jitsu and held a knife to her throat "keep me away from my beloved again and I will kill you"
"ok" she nodded shakingly.
"good" I dropped the knife and walked out of the office while my boss sunk to her knees in shock.
