It was our first day at the training camp and the first thing Lee decided to do is to drag me out of bed at 7am to challenge me to yet another fight. (he has it in his head that we're rivals)
Our other group of friends got up with tired looking eyes.
"mmm guys what are you doing up at this time?" tenten complained.
"Lee dragged me out demanding a fight" I explained.
"I will beat you this time neji!" Lee yelled.
"not when you're not paying attention!" I yelled knocking him onto his feet.
"ahh nii-chan your remembering our families jitsu" hinata said looking proud. It was a little embarrassing considering I was supposed to be the older sibling.
Lee rubbed his head with an annoyed look on his face "that was just luck! I will beat you this time" he charged towards me.
"Lee you won't beat anyone with that laxadaisy attitude of yours" Lee stopped in his tracks at shinos words.
"what are you talking about? A am not laxadaisy!"
"please you have the attention span of a five year old" he sighed.
"that is not true" Lee yelled.
"oh look its garra"
"ah! Where is my red headed angle!" Lee turned around and shino knocked him down with his bugs.
"see what I mean"
"that was a dirty trick shino" Lee glared at him.
"so? In the shinobi world people don't play by the rules. They use any dirty tricks they can to win and that includes murder. So I suggest you get your act together before you get added to the mountain of shinobi who die before reaching their thirtys" with that chilling message he walked off.
"man shino can be scary sometimes" kiba shuttered.
"yeah but he's also pretty cute" tenten giggled.
"ahh I see your all awake without me having to wake you" our supervising sensai might guy strolled up to us "nice job Lee!"
"thank you guy sensai!" Lee yelled crying proud tears.
"wait dose this mean we have to get up at this time every morning" tenten said in horror.
"it sure does!" guy sensai grinned with his sparkling teeth "an early start to the morning will give us a higher chance of effectiveness. Now drop and give me fifty!"
We all groaned except for Lee who was excitedly doing the pushups at record speed.
I couldn't help but wonder at this time. What's shikamaru doing?
