Josh's POV

I saw my dad from the top of the stairs, but I really had to get to school. I was afraid to go downstairs.

I slowly walked downstairs past the kitchen, hoping they wouldn't hear me.

I was particularly unlucky though.

I saw my dad come out of the kitchen, bumping into me accidentally.

Tw: abuse, duh.

"Get the fuck out of my way you faggot" He snapped, pushing me to the ground.

I didn't wanna talk back, so I just tried my best to get up and leave.

"I didn't say I was done with you cunt, you don't leave this house until I fucking say so." He spat, shoving his foot into my stomach to keep me down.

He shoved me hit me, and even cut me with thing he found lying around. Once he was done he passed out on the couch with a beer in his hand.

My arms were cut up, and my chest was bruised. Even my face had taken a blow when he pushed me face first onto the floor.

I stood up, a irony taste flooding in my mouth. The taste of blood lingered on my tongue.

I think I should just ask Mully if I can stay over at his house, he's the only person out of the group who knows about my parents.

I just covered the bruises on my face with makeup I had stolen a while back from my mom's room.

I walked in the school now, going over to all of the boys. Gaege was sitting next to Eddie on the floor with his head on his shoulder, and Narrator was talking to Mully and Smashing.

"Hey guys." I tried waving, but my arm ached.

Mully immediately saw the different skin tones, knowing I put makeup to cover up the bruises that lay upon my skin.

"Hey Josh, can I talk to you? In private."

I nodded, letting him drag me to the toilets.

"Again? He abused you again!? If I could I would beat the fuck out of your dad Joshie."

I smiled, but even he knew he couldn't actually do that.

"I don't know what to do, but I'm not going back to my house tonight. So, can I stay with you Mully. Please?"

"Of course, anything for my best friend." He smiled, hugging me tightly.

After school I went to Mully's house. I knocked on the door, waiting for a response. He usually answers right awa-

"Hey Josh! Sorry I didn't answer for a moment, my mum needed me to put something away" He smiled, pulling me in for a bro hug.

"It's fine Mul, I'm just glad to see you." I smiled.

We went up to his room, and I flopped onto bed, sighing.

"What's on your mind Joshie?" Mully questioned, sitting down on the bed abruptly. He rubbed my leg, making me blush.

"I just feel more at home when I'm with you and your family. My family just makes me feel like I don't have one at all."

Mully just sighed, laying down next to me. The bed slumped from the added weight. (I'm not saying he's fat, I'm just being logical) 

"Can I be honest Josh?"

I looked over concerned. I have a feeling what he's about to say isn't good, so I might as well prepare myself for the worst.

"Sure Mul." I let out a fake smile

He shifted, confusing me.

"You ok Mul-" I started, but got cut off with his lips on mine. I felt this weird feeling in my chest, but it wasn't a bad feeling.

The kiss was slow and passionate, and it just felt so right.

Once we pulled away for air, I realized how red my face must have been. I just smiled, laying my head in the crook of his neck nervously.

"I really like you Josh." I just blushed a even more red tint then before.

"I like you too Mully, I guess I was too nervous to tell my best friend that I'm gay for him." I chuckled, making him roll his eyes at the last part.

"Well, newsflash. I'm gay too, you nerd."

I just smiled, snuggling up to the boy I loved the most.
