Smashing's POV

I was asleep, until I heard a loud screech from the kitchen.

Almost running down the stairs at full speed, I saw Gaege, his back turned.

"Hey, what are you doing up so early?"

He made pained noises, turning towards me.

*Tw: blood*

There was blood dripping down his hand, and he was crying.

Walking up to him, quickly, I grabbed his bloody hand.

"Shh.. shh, you're ok.." I pushed his face into my chest, his hand still in mine.

Tears stained my shirt, but I didn't mind.

My main focus was on his hand, checking how big the cut is.

I felt over the slash in his hand, hearing him groan in pain. "Sorry baby.."

The cut wasn't that big, but it was opened enough where blood would poor out of it at an alarming rate.

So, I went into the bathroom, holding Gaege into my side.

His soft crying was muffled by my chest.

"I've got to sit you up on the counter, so I can bandage your hand, okay?"

Nodding, he put his hoodie on his head, embarrassed because of how he looked.

Nonetheless, I wrapped the bandage around his hand after cleaning the blood off with a wet rag.

*Tw over*

I  put my hand into his hood, running it through his soft hair.

"Why were you out there, and how did you cut yourself?"

Crossing his arms, and sniffling, he ended up talking after a few minutes.

"I-I wanted to make us breakfast, and wh-while I was cutting fruit.. I pick up the knife the wrong way, a-and I cut my hand open.."

Bringing him close to me, his breathing started to become calm.

The feeling of embarrassment was probably all he felt, and it made me feel horrible.

"How's about we make breakfast together? You and me."

His eyes brightened, queuing me to pick him up and take him out to the kitchen.

We decided on muffins, since it's only 10.

They will be ready by 11, so that will be a perfect time to eat.

Gaege ended up changing into a Pikachu onesie, and it looked adorable.

I ruffled his hair, and gave him a quick kiss.

His face was flushed a simple pink, making me smirk.

"Don't, I already know what you're going to sa-"

Before he could say anything more, I gave him another kiss, but longer this time.

"What? That you're cute?"

He rolled his eyes. "No, that I'm short.."

Chuckling, I walked into the kitchen, taking out a mixing bowl.

"You can't deny what is true."

Getting an eyeroll back, I got out the eggs.

I started by pouring flour and sugar into the bowl.

Gaege just stood by me, looking sort of nervous to help me out.

Trying to boost his spirit though, I asked him to get the milk from out of the fridge.

He plopped it in front of me, making me smile.

Pouring the milk into a measuring cup, I handed it to him.

"You have been given the honor of pouring the milk into the royal mixing bowl." I said fancily, making him laugh a little.

After the milk was in, I cracked one egg into the batter, it making a 'plop' sound.

We ended up making them blueberry muffins, since it's still breakfast time.

Gaege's POV

"I'm going to set the timer for about 20-25 minutes."

Nodding, I yawned.

I only slept for ab out 3 to 4 hours.

Ayden didn't know, and I didn't want him to feel bad.

Or worse then he already feels about my cut up, bloody hand.

Right now, we were just sitting on the couch, him holding me close to his side.

Blinking roughly, I tried to stay awake at least until the muffins were done.

Said man, who's arms I was in, unfortunately noticed.

"Hey, if you're tired you can go to sleep."

Shaking my head, I yawned again. "I want to eat muffins.."

All he did was chuckle. "You can eat muffins after your nap, baby."

Once again, I shook my head. "Nope. I'm not sleeping until I get to eat muffins."

That plan went down the drain when he started rubbing his hand down my back, and up my shirt.

He knew that physical contact made me relax, and was using it to his advantage.

I gave in though, letting him pick me up and lay my head into his chest.

The moment I touched the soft mattress, I fell asleep.

 The last thing I felt being him covering me with the duvet on our shared bed.
