"And team red scores again, will team navy be able to catch up." I hear Chanhee announce boredly through his megaphone.

"yah, chanhee put some pep in your commentating will you?" the other announcer says to him.

"Sorry, I just have no interest in this game whatsoever" Chanhee says back, and I hear the other announcer sigh.

The cheerleaders and I are sitting in a row on the out of bounds ground of the football field right in front of the announcer table, which is set up in front of the middle section of of the bleachers.

I half heartedly wave the pom poms while the other cheerleaders cheer loudly and proudly. currently the athletes are playing flag football, and it's the second game they've played. This time It's Kevin's navy team against the red team and the audience is watching on the edges of their seats. Supposedly the captains of each team have a huge rivalry with one another, but I couldn't care less.

Throughout the entire game i've gotten nearly five heart attacks, from either thinking Kevin was going to get injured playing, or one of the athletes nearly knocking me over. Not to mention it's freezing cold and the other cheerleaders completely banish me from being included in their conversation.

All they talk about is how cute they think some of the players are, and i hear them talking about kevin at one point, and I feel a pang of some feeling. It couldn't be jealousy though l, because it's not like we're together or anything.

As halftime rolls around for the flag football game, Changmin jogs over to us.

"Okay for the second half you guys are going to stand up and spread out throughout the side of the field and cheer okay? Stand in between the out of bounds line and the bleachers. Just hype the crowd and players up a lot okay?" Changmin instructs and we all nod. He gives me an extra sympathetic smile before running off to be a referee.

All the cheerleaders stand in spots around the length of the football field and I stand somewhat to the end.

As the players start jogging back onto the field, I watch Kevin, the only boy with a turtleneck under his jersey. He's not the best at flag football, but he sure puts in the effort and has fun.

"Hey, Sunhee! You gonna cheer or what??" The cheerleader in the spot to my left yells at me.

Yikes. I nod and wave the pom poms unenthusiastically.

Through the chatting of the students, somehow I hear someone saying, "But how do you know you like her?"

I perk up at the sound of fresh gossip somewhere in the bleachers behind me.

"Duh. Have you seen her legs?"

"You're weird. You've never even talked to her before"

"So what? For all she knows I've been crushing on her since freshman year. She'll never know"

"Pssh. Yeah right"

Ugh. Boys. They're so impolite. Some poor girl is about to be tricked.

The whistle blows and the red and navy teams start playing again, the other cheerleaders jumping and yelling with school spirit.
