Oh how wrong I was.
I should've known better than to lie to Seohye yesterday. As soon as I enter the school I see her friend staring me down as I walk through the school gates with Kevin.

"oops, my shoes untied," I fib to Kevin, trying to put some visible distance in between us. I bend down to 'tie my shoe' and avoid eye contact with Seohye's friend.

"Hmm? Oh I can just wait," Kevin says and just stands next to me.
Darn it!

I made sure Kevin wore his parka to school today. He's wearing his glasses and a beanie and his nose is still pinkish, but overall he seems better.

"You sure are takin a long time tying your shoe!" Kevin jokes and sniffles.

"yeah, you should just go in, you must be cold," I try to push his ankle forward to get him moving, Seohye's friend is still here, lurking around the gate.

"it'll just be faster if I help you" to my absolute horror, Kevin kneels on the floor in front of me and ties my shoe in a couple seconds.
"There. Ready now babe?" He takes my hand and helps me stand up again.

I widen my eyes in fear, it couldn't be more obvious that we're dating, and that I lied to Seohye, and her friend will tell her! I glance back at Seohye's friend, but luckily she happened to be occupied on her phone at that time.

Phew! Well the danger is not over yet. Seohye and her friend are both in my class. It seems Seohye has some sort of good or 'popular' representation within our school so, my life will be ruined if she finds out I lied to her.

I suppose this best thing would be to pretend Kevin and I are not dating, at least for the time being. Phew, okay... I got this.
Maybe.

As Kevin and I walk through the hall I try to walk a bit separated from him, and I glance around nervously to see if anyone was watching. But it is still a high school after all, everyone is minding their own businesses, zooming throughout the hallway.

Kevin slides open the classroom door, the only people in there are Chanhee and Changmin and a random classmate.

"Yo, how do you guys always get here so early?" Kevin laughs as we take our seats behind them.

"We live in the same neighborhood so we carpool," Changmin explains, and a couple more classmates file in. I stare at them nervously, not knowing which could be in contact with Seohye.

"Hah! Not as fun as me and Sunhee, Bc you know we share an apartm-" I slap my hand over Kevin's mouth before any of the other students can overhear.

"Ahh, that's right. Because you two are togeth-" I slap my left hand over Chanhee's mouth and he slaps my hand back away with a scoff.

Kevin puffs out his lips and I remove my right hand.

"What is it??" Kevin asks.

I start to answer but I stop immediately when I the classroom door opens again and I crane my neck to see Seohye walking in. Honestly she screams "favorite bestie in a kdrama" vibes. Seohye's best friend is the rich, popular, super pretty main character vibes girl in another class. Seohye looks sweet and innocent compared to her friend, and it seems that everyone likes her.
