i wake up at 7:04 am, laying in jack's bed by myself, hearing quiet arguing in the kitchen.
"mom, she's gonna be home alone all week-" "and i understand that, but there won't be an adult over there, and i don't want you two staying over at her house without an adult. i'm sorry." "we're not gonna do anything bad, i swear-" i walk out of his room and both of them stop talking. "jack, it's okay." i say, as he walks up to me and takes my hand. "good morning, i'm sorry i got out of bed before you woke up." he said, kissing my cheek. "don't apologize." i smile, as his mom heads over to the oven and takes out the bacon.
"i'm sorry y/n, i just don't want you and jack staying somewhere alone. you're only 16, and-" "it's okay, mrs. will, really." i stop her, as she smiles slightly. "no- mom, don't you trust me?" jack says, getting frustrated. "i trust the both of you, but i don't think that you should be staying the night alone together. i'm sorry jack-" "this is such bullshit!" jack says, infuriated. he lets go of my hand and rushing into his room, slamming his door behind him. "i really am sorry y/n, you're welcome to stay here if you'd like. you're always welcome." mrs. will tells me, and i smile. "thank you, but i don't want to intrude. i'm gonna go talk to jack." i tell her, as she smiles at me.
i walk into jack's room quietly, closing the door gently behind me. "hey." i sigh, sitting down on his bed next to him. "i'm sorry. i shouldn't have blown up like that, i just don't want you to stay home by yourself all week." he says, looking down at his hands in his lap. i rub his shoulder gently, and he rests his head on my shoulder. "i'll be okay, jack. but you should apologize to your mom. she didn't deserve for you to curse at her." i say quietly, as he nods into my shoulder.
i get up from his bed, as he does too, and the both of us head towards his door before he stops me. "hm-" he cuts me off by kissing my lips, causing me to trip back against the wall. he chuckles into the kiss, and i do the same. "what was that for?" i pull away. "because you're not afraid to tell me when i'm out of line. i love that about you." he smiles, as i kiss his cheek.
we walk back out to the kitchen, and jack nervously walks up to his mom. "i'll let you guys talk. i'm gonna change back into my clothes from yesterday." i say, heading back to jack's room. "y/n, you can wear some of my clothes again." he tells me, and i chuckle a little. "okay, thanks jack." i smile, walking back into his room and closing the door behind me. i find a pair of jack's black sweatpants, and one of his old blue t-shirts.
"you can come out now." jack tells me through the door, and i walk back out to them. "you look amazing." jack tells me, hugging me tight. "thank you." i say quietly, kissing his cheek. "so y/n, jack and i decided that he could stay over at your house for three days of the week, just so you're not home alone for the entire week. the other days you're more than welcome to stay over here." his mom tells me with a smile, as i smile back. "thank you, and by the way, that smells really good." i smile warmly at her, talking about breakfast. "well, breakfast is ready, so i'm gonna go wake up jamie. feel free to start eating." she tells us, as jack gets the both of us a plate, and hands one to me.
"jack, you know that i can stay home by myself, right?" i ask him quietly, putting bacon and toast on my plate. "well- yes, but you shouldn't have to. i just don't want anything to happen to you." he tells me, kissing my cheeks. "i appreciate that, but i can handle myself." i tell him, and he frowns subtly. "what's wrong?" i ask him, rubbing his arm as we both sit down. "do you not want me to stay over?" he asks me shyly. "no- jack, of course i want you to stay over, i'm just saying that- nevermind. c'mere." i say, as i put my plate down on the table, and walk over to his chair. "y/n?" he spoke, as i pick up his hand and he gets up from his chair.
"please don't ever question if i want you around or not, okay?" i say softly, kissing his cheek. "okay, i'm sorry." he apologized, wrapping his arms around me. "it's okay, jack." i say, pulling away and kissing his lips once. we sit down and continue to eat our breakfast, when jamie runs out of his room and amanda walks out behind him. "good morning, jamie." i smile at him, as he runs up to me and hugs my waist. "good morning y/n. i didn't know you stayed the night last night." he smiles at me, as his mom puts his plate on the table, and he sits in the chair next to me. "jack and i got home after you'd went to bed, sorry james." i smile, and he shrugs. "it's okay, are you going to stay the night again tonight?" he asks me excitedly. "well, i have school tomorrow, so i'm probably going to stay at my house tonight." i say and he frowns.
"i wish you could stay the night again. i wanna show you all the cars my friend gave me." he says with a smile, and jack looks at me. "i mean, you could stay the night tonight- if you want." he smiles, putting his hand on mine, and i smile back at him. "are you two boyfriend and girlfriend?" jamie asks us, as jack and i laugh. "yeah." jack says proudly, and jamie smiles. "yay! jack talked about you a lot, i always knew he liked you." he smiles, and i blush subtly. "dang jamie, you're exposing me." jack jokes, and we all laugh. we finish eating and i help mrs. will clean the dishes up.
"jack, i'm gonna head home and take a shower." i say, grabbing my clothes from his bedroom floor and heading for the door. "is it cool if i head over there after i take a shower, too?" jack asks me, and i nod. "of course. call me when you're on your way." i smile, and he does too, before giving me a quick kiss on my way out. when i walk inside of my house, i see my mom drinking red wine at the counter. "mom? i thought you weren't gonna be home for another week?" i say, as she laughs hysterically. "i just bought a yacht." she says, as a confused look grows onto my face, mixed with anger.
"what the fuck?"
