i get a text from summer, saying that they're on their way to jack's house. i ruffle my hand through jack's fluffy hair to try and wake him up, as his eyes blink open gently. "hey beautiful." he whispers, rubbing his eyes. "hi. i didn't want to have to wake you, but summer and auggie are on their way." i smile, kissing his forehead.

"it's okay," he says, sitting up on the edge of the bed. i stand in front of him and fix his hair with my hands, while he smiles up at me. he puts his hands on my wrists with a smile, stopping me from fixing his hair. "is everything oka-" he cuts me off by standing up and kissing my lips softly, as we both smile into the kiss. "what was that for?" i say with a slight smile, pulling away from the kiss. "i don't know, you just make me really happy." he smiles, kissing my cheek.

i get a text from auggie, saying that him and summer are here. "we should probably get going." i smile warmly, taking his hand. he nods, as we walk out of his house and see auggie and summer waiting for us in summer's car. "y/n, i just thought i'd let you know that i saw your mom get into a car with some guy in a uhaul truck..." auggie says, as my eyes widen. "oh shit- i'll be right back." i say, running as fast as i can back to my house while jack follows me. "is everything oka-" "oh fuck..." i cut him off as i open the front door of my house.

"everything is gone." i say, my voice breaking as i stare into my empty house. "what the hell?" summer says as her and auggie run up to us. "she left. for good." i sigh, tears falling down my cheeks. "it's gonna be okay... c'mere." jack says, pulling me into his chest, holding me tightly. "i need to go look around, see if there's anything left." i wipe my eyes, leaving jack's embrace. "do you want us to come with you?" summer asks. "summer, could you?" i reply, grabbing her hand and taking her upstairs.

i rush into my room, and all my clothes are in some boxes, and all of my other stuff is in separate boxes. my bedding is packed away into another box, and my bed is taken apart. my mattress is leaning against the wall, and all of the pictures that i'd had on my wall of summer, auggie, jack and i are on the floor. "oh- i get it now. she's selling the house." i say, as more tears drip from my eyes. "y/n i'm so sorry... you can always stay at my house." summer says, rubbing my shoulder. "thanks summer." i sigh, as jack and auggie rush upstairs to us. "oh wow-" auggie says with wide eyes, as jack doesn't say anything, just drops his jaw and widens his eyes.

"it's okay. it's- it's fine. everything is- fine..." i stutter, my voice breaking. "y/n..." jack sighs, wrapping his arms around my waist from behind. "no, really. everything is fine. at least my things are packed up, so i don't have to spend a lot of time trying to-" i choke on my last word, not being able to finish my sentence. tears stream down my face, as summer and auggie join the hug. "it's gonna be okay, y/n." summer says, wiping my tears away. i sniffle and nod, as i pull out of the group hug.

"so where're you gonna stay now?" auggie asks me with a frown. "you can stay at my house! my mom will be okay with-" jack exclaims, as i wrap my arms around his neck, his around my waist. "okay, okay. calm down. i just don't wanna add another thing to your mom's plate. she's already got you and jamie, and-" "no, don't do that. she told you that you could stay with us as long as you need." he tells me, pressing kisses against my cheek a few times, and i bite the inside of my cheek a few times.

"just let me talk to her about it, okay?" he smiles, lifting my chin so our eyes meet. "okay." i smile slightly, kissing his lips once. "you two are so adorable, i swear." summer says, as jack and i smile. "so are you and auggie, but that's a conversation y'all aren't ready for." i say, and auggie and summer laugh nervously. "oh whatever." auggie rolls his eyes. "c'mere you guys." i say, as we all huddle together in a group hug. "i love you guys." i say, as summer puts her head on my shoulder with a smile. "we love you back." auggie replies, as jack kisses my cheek and i fist bump auggie. jack smiles at me and interlocks his fingers with mine, as he looks into my eyes.
