Abalang abala sa pag titingin sa mga stores ng mall nahagip ng paningin ko ang isang malaking teddy bear and I am very sure my eyes had sparks on it. Nagmamadali kong hinila ang barso ni Pennie na para bang anak na nag mamakaawa sa nanay bumili ng gusto niya.
"Isla sandamakmak na mga teady bear mo sa bahay!" Paalala niya.
"Shhh sige ka ipaparebond ko yang apaka kulot mong buhok." I hushed her at pagirap ang kaniyang iginanti.
Nahagip naman ng mata ako ang isang capo na cute and thought of Cassius. I want to give him a gift for no reason, I just remembered that he plays guitar.
"What is that for?" Pennie asked nang Makita akong dinampot ang capo.
"Oh, for Cassius." Tipid kong sagot sa kaniya.
After the long shopping we decided to watch one movie. Maaga ang dismissal namin kanina kaya by dinner makaka uwi na kami ni Pennie. Overnight ulit ang lola niyo sa amin dahil it's friday~~~.
Natapos naman ang palabas ay dumeretso na kami sa may labasan dahil sabi ko kay mang Berto na alas sais matatapos ang pinanonood naming pelikula.
"Isla isn't that Kuya Devin's car?"
Sa di kalayuan tinuro ni Pennie ang isang black BMW X5 habang naka abang kami kay mang Berto.
Palapit ng palapit ang kotse sa amin ang kotse at nang tumapat ito ay bumungad si kuya Devin my cousin's bestfriend with a smile on his lips. I peeked inside the car and saw ate Andra, my cousin.
"Ano hinihintay niyo pasko?"
I lazily entered the gorgeous car at sumundo si Pennie sa akin. Nag vibrate naman ang telepono ko receiving a text from mang Berto saying he had to go somewhere urgent.
"Having an overnight again Pennie?"
Kuya Devin asked.
"Yes naiirita nako sa pag mumukha ng kapatid ko, and you?"
"Well I don't know if papayagan ako ng girlfriend ko." Kuya Devin answered.
"Yeah right." I chuckled jokingly sabay irap habang ang mga kamay ay naka cross without realizing his sentence. Girlfriend.......... wait wha-
"Kyahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!"
A high-pitched scream was produced by my larynx and it felt as if there were fireworks everywhere. FOOTA SILA NA NI ATE ANDRA! Finally, they are now dating. I feel like I'm floating and I'm inside a Wattpad story. It's been a year since he started courting ate and now it's official! Lumapit ako ng husto kay ate Andra at niyakap siya na may kasamang pangigigil. Marahas akong hinila ng best friend ko, pinaupo at pinakalma. I saw kuya Devin smiling a type of smile that would almost end up into a laugh.
"Of course you'll stay for the night sa bahay!"
I happily shouted at patuloy na kinikilig dahilan para mapakanta ako. Si ate Andra naman ay tumingin sa labas ng bintana, mukhang nahihiya pa si bakla. I saw kuya Devin's hand reach out for her at dahil epal ako tinapik ko ang kamay niya with a pout on my lips at kilay na naka taas na para bang matandang dalagang may ari ng apartment. I felt like a kid whose mom is being stolen by some other child.
We arrived at the house safely and everything was ready for dinner. Kahit marami rami akong kinain kanina dahil sa pagod na naramdaman sa buong araw ay kumain ako ulit ako ng madami. Buti wala si kuya Anton, my brother, kasi baka natawag nanaman akong baboy nun. On the other hand, kuya Devin couldn't eat properly because lola Zenaida won't stop asking questions on how everything happened. She showed how much she is happy for the two, she likes kuya Devin so much for ate Andra.
"By the way, your lolo Alejandro will come home this Saturday, Devin hijo I want you to be here okay?"
Lola announced. Tumango naman si kuya Devin bilang pagsangayon. I guess lolo's done with his business stuff.
After dinner nag set up kami sa may poolside ng bonfire and snacks. We will watch two movies, drink a bit and chat. Bonding to be exact, that's what we usually do sa bahay 24/7. We were raised with the thinking na we should always bond and be closer as a family dahil wala kang ibang matatakbuhan in the future kundi ng family mo. I don't quite believe in that saying dahil minsan it's also your family na itatakwil ka.
As we were having fun kuya Devin me asked a question about Cassius out of the blue.
"How about you and that Cassius boy you keep on talking about Isla, are there any improvements?"
Mapangasaar na tanong nito.
"What do you mean?" I'm confused.
"I mean you like him don't you?" He said.
"I don't know." That's the only answer I could think of casue afterall I don't really know.
"Well, Pennie told me you've been having fun lately with him. I just thought you might like him."
