FINN'S POV
First stop: sightseeing. According to Nathan, sightseeing is best in the mornings or really late at night. And since we had different plans for the night, he thought we should go sightseeing now.
Basically, we went to this area where we can follow the trails and hike to higher ground to get to areas where we can sightsee or something. I'm not entirely sure since I've never gone sightseeing, but yeah. At the place we went, they gave us a map after we paid our fee then we were on our own. For the first part, Ro was the one who led us.
To say we got lost would be an understatement. Ro was not good at reading maps. At all.
"Ro...This is not the right trail. This is going down and I'm pretty sure we're supposed to go up," I said as I followed Ro further down the forest or whatever it's called. Nathan was behind me, grumbling things that I don't know.
"I told you we shouldn't let Ro lead the way," he grumbled into my ear. I shivered and swatted his face away since he was tickling my ear and it felt weird.
"I wanted to give the poor guy a chance," I joked, half serious.
"Hey! I heard that!" Ro called from in front of us. "Can y'all like, trust me for a moment? I promise this is the right way! Just have fai—"
"Oh my god," I suddenly said, freezing.
"What—"
"Shut up!" I whisper-yelled at Nathan. He followed my gaze to the creature. Maybe we weren't in a forest, but some type of woods? I don't know! All I know is that there are a lot of trees and bugs and spider webs and stuff.
"What is it?" Ro whispered, making his way towards us.
I stared at the creature in awe. "It's a bunny!" I squealed. "I want to keep it!"
I left the two confused and bored men to go to the bunny. I made sure to walk slowly with my hands up so maybe it would know that I don't want to hurt it.
"C'mere, bunny," I told the bunny, squatting.
"Are you seriously talking to a bunny?" Ro deadpanned.
"I knew you were weird, but not this weirdo," Nathan added.
"Wow. Team up on me, would you? And shut up. It's a bun—"
Noises came from where the bunny was and when I looked, I saw that it ran away into the bushes. I pouted. Why did it have to leave me?
"That shit runs like a horse," Ro snorted out. "You saw that, right, Nathan?"
To my surprise, a small smile was on Nathan's face. He looked amused.
"It's a cute bunny," I growled.
"You're cuter." Ro winked. A small coat of blush decorated my cheeks and I looked away from him and focused on my shoes. I got up from where I was and began going to the direction Ro was leading us.
"Wait for us!" Ro called out from behind.
We walked silently for a minute before Ro and I began talking about nonsense. As we were walking, Ro caught up to me and held my hand, making me blush. I was gonna move it away since my hand was sweaty and icky, but he didn't let me.
"I think we're lost. We're definitely not anywhere on the map," I stated, frowning. "This is what happens when we trust you, Ro," I joked.
His face turned red. "Shut! We were on the right path but then you led us to God-knows-where!" he tried to defend himself.
"You were walking with me, and not behind me!" I rolled my eyes.
"Both of you shut up." Nathan sighed. "You're so annoying."
"Hey!" Ro yelled, as I glared at Nathan.
"Shut u—"
"No, guys, look at this view! It's even better than the views we are supposed to go to!"
I turned around to see what Ro was talking about and...
I think he's on crack or something. There was no view. Only trees and spider webs and boring stuff.
I heard a deep chuckle—Nathan's chuckle—come from behind me. "Not there, love," he said, latching himself onto my waist. He turned me around to face the edge of the cliff where the sun was rising even more.
I was too in awe to focus on the fact that Nathan had his hand around my waist and his chin on my shoulder. The view really was amazing.
It would've looked even better if the sun was just rising, or if it was setting, but it was still pretty. We had an amazing view of the far mountains, the trees, and the river below us. It was amazing.
"This looks so pretty," I whispered softly, afraid that if I speak any louder I'd ruin the moment.
"We should have a picnic up here or something," Ro added. "It'd be awesome."
"Yeah, but we just ate food."
"So? I'll go get take out or something. You two wait here." With that, he quickly left. I was gonna ask how he was gonna get food without the car, but then I remembered that there were little shops and food trucks at the main site.
Nathan and I stayed still for a long time, neither of us saying anything. The only sound that could be heard was the river wishing and swaying and the birds chirping.
"Do you actually like him?" Nathan suddenly asked, his voice coming right by my ear. "Or is this just a show to get two men to spend time and money on you?"
My eyes grew wide and my mouth dropped open. I immediately turned around and pushed him away, catching him off guard.
"Are you fucking with me?" I asked, genuinely offended. What did he think I was? Some sort of slut, or a whore?
"It was just a ques—"
"I don't care what it was. What the fuck is wrong with you? You're the one who said we had a date. You. So if you want to blame anyone for this, blame your fucking self! I didn't ask for you to take me out on a date, nor did I want to go on a date with you. I just came because I had nothing else to do!" I yelled, my face slightly becoming red with each word. Tears suddenly sprang from my eyes and I felt oh, so incredibly hurt.
He and I didn't get along. I knew that. But to indirectly ask if I was a slut? That was low, even for him. Especially since he was the one who lied and said we were dating. All because he had an ego he needed to grow.
I looked away from him when his expression changed into one of concern and regret. But I don't care what he thinks or feels. I just want to go home and sleep.
Ro still wasn't here, and he wouldn't come back until a couple more minutes. Then, after he comes back, I'd have to spend another hour here with both him and Nathan, then we would leave and go wherever they want to take me.
I could ask Ro if I could go home, but then I'd probably ruin his mood. It did look like he was having fun. I didn't want to ruin this trip for him.
I sighed through my nose, looking at the river below us.
Once again: oh, what a day this'll be...
