FINN'S POV

"It's so hot today," I complained when Nathan and I walked out in the sunlight. I was in basketball shorts and a pink T-shirt, wearing black sandals whilst having socks on. Yeah, it's not the most stylish outfit ever but it was too hot to wear something that looked good.

Nathan, being the stylish guy he was, was wearing khaki shorts, looking like an old white man. He was wearing a tight blue T-shirt that showed off his muscular body and made everyone turn their head to look at him. He was just that hot.

Gee, it sucks living with hot roommates. Specifically, my hot roommates, since they all suck. Except for Drake.

"That's the third time you've said that."

"No, it's not!"

"Yes, it is."

"Okay, maybe it's the second, but definitely not the third!" After all, we just walked into the sunlight, making our way to Nathan's car. Some dumbass parked in Nathan's assigned spot so he had to go to the other parking lot, made for guests who came to visit people in the apartment. Unfortunately, it was a long walk.

"Just shut up," he sighed out.

I rolled my eyes. "No, you."

"So mature."

The rest of the walk was silent since I was too hot to talk to him. If I opened my mouth for even a second, it'd become dry then I'd need water.

Or something else...Something Nathan could—

Bad Finn. Very very bad Finn. From Nathan? Ew. Disgusting. My standards have never been so low.

"Finally! Please, open the AC as quickly as you can. I'm literally dying here!" I whined once we arrived at the destination of the car. I didn't go in right away since the AC usually started off by shooting out hot air before the cold air finally came. Thankfully, Nathan turned it on right away and the cold air was coming out in no time.

I jumped—literally jumped—into the car and closed the door, letting out a relieved sigh as the cold air hit my skin. "Now this is the life," I moaned.

"Did you just moan...?"

"What?"

"I said, did you just moan?"

"Are you insane? Why would I moan?"

He blinked, looking somewhat disturbed and startled. "Nevermind. I must be hearing things."

I slowly nodded, agreeing with his statement even though I did kind of moan, but who has to know that? Not him, that's for sure. Besides, it wasn't like those "Ahh!" moans. It was just a moan caused by relief and pleasu—

Oh...

My point still stands. Kind of.

Nathan didn't say anything as he put the car on drive and started making his way to the hospital. I remembered how Drake would talk to me about how he loved when Nathan took him to go pick up Lena. He said that it was those moments where Nathan was more vulnerable and real with him. It was messed up, but understandable. Their relationship was a bit shaky, a bit toxic although it didn't really seem like it.

The ride was silent except for the sound of the AC working. I wasn't surprised, obviously, since Nathan and I weren't best friends or anything. I didn't expect him to talk. I was just hoping he would since Adam was acting a bit friendlier (he still owes me for the ramen) and all.

"So, how's Lena doing?" I asked Nathan. "I feel like it's been a while since we've—since I've—seen her." I feel like I've been surprising myself more and more lately. For one, I got along with Adam (somehow) and now here I am, striking conversation with Nathan. While we were driving to see Drake who was practically on his deathbed. Yeah, the guilt was most definitely real.
