Nathan's POV

"Your vitals seem to be looking good, Nathan," the nurse - a Mexican woman, seemingly in her early thirties - commented as she checked the devices that hung around Nathan. She scribbled things down on her clipboard. "How do you feel?"

Nathan hummed. "Physically? Fine. Just a bit sore."

She nodded and wrote some more. "How about mentally? Do you want me to schedule you a therapist appointment really quickly? We also have to find you a therapist office - there are quite a few here. Any preferences?"

A sigh escaped Nathan's mouth. "Do I have to go to therapy?"

"It's very recommended, even if you're going to a mental hospital. Speaking of, have you made a choice? What mental hospital do you want us to transfer you to? We have Armond's Mental Hospital written down, but if you want to change that, then please do tell."

"I'd rather not go to a mental hospital. I'm an adult and I can take care of myself."

The nurse looked at him, slightly amused. "You can take care of yourself? Then excuse me for asking, but what landed you in the hospital again?"

It was a low blow, but Nathan deserved it.

"You know, mental hospitals aren't even bad. Not entirely, anyway. You shouldn't feel ashamed if you need to go there. It's normal and natural, despite what the public makes it seem like."

Nathan internally groaned. Who asked for her opinion, anyway? He sure didn't.

"I'd rather just stay at home."

The nurse nodded. "What home, by the way? The apartment you share with Drake, Adam, and...Finn? Or are you going to stay with your parents for some time?"

"I'll stay with my parents."

She jotted down some notes. "I'll go speak with Dr. Barnley about your situation concerning the mental hospital. I'll also go and find you a good therapist. Would you like to participate in physical therapy?" she asked. "It's not required and completely up to you. If you feel like you need help relearning your body's functions, then please let us know so we can write a referral."

"I don't think I need to attend physical therapy. I'm fine."

She nodded. "What would you like for breakfast, sir? We have toast with jam, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs - a lot of different options to choose from. Is there anything you're craving?"

"Not hungry," Nathan sighed out.

"Toast with jam and two boiled eggs it is. Would you like tea, water, or juice? We don't usually serve coffee but that can be arranged."

"Tea, water - I don't care. Coffee is fine, too. Just leave me alone," he tiredly breathed out.
