FINN'S POV

As I was waiting for Ro to come back, Nathan went searching or something. I wouldn't know, since he didn't say anything, but I noticed he was looking for something. Possibly a trail to the river. That would be nice.

I spent most of the time looking down in the river. There were small fishes which were just adorable. I kind of wanted to touch one, but I'd feel bad for disturbing their peace. Plus, there wasn't a way to get down without dying or falling.

Ro came with a box of tacos and those cup carriers with three slushies. One pink, one red, and one blue. He had a bit of sweat on his forehead, probably from the sun since it was shining brightly at the moment.

"Hey," he greeted, nodding his head at me. "Where's Nathan?"

I shrugged in reply as he came to sit by me, allowing his feet to hang from the edge. He kept holding the box of food and the drinks in his hands, thankfully. I didn't want any bugs getting into our food.

"You okay?" he asked softly, looking over at me. I mutedly nodded.

"I want to go home..." I admitted hesitantly. I noticed how his face fell for a moment and he looked disappointed, but he quickly smiled.

"How about we go to some other places before taking you home? Since, you know, maybe this just wasn't the right place for you. But I promise we'll have fun together, and if you're still not in the mood, I'll take you back, no questions asked. Deal?"

I sighed, gazing at his sharp jawline. "Fine..."

"Ro? Is that you?" a deep voice - Nathan's voice - called from the trees. Ro turned back and waved.

"Yeah! C'mere, I brought tacos!" He got up from his spot and went to sit on a large rock. I followed his lead and sat on another rock, a slightly smaller one, that was by his rock. Soon, Nathan appeared and he just sat on the ground without hesitating or anything.

"What kind of tacos?" Nathan asked as he laid his feet in front of him and put his hands on the ground to hold his weight. He closed his eyes for a moment then opened them and looked at Ro after shooting me a glance.

"Oh, I brought half bean tacos and half meat tacos. They're all hard shells, though. Hope you guys don't mind?" he said questioningly.

I shrugged, and Nathan said a quick "Nope."

Ro handed out the slushies, giving me the red, Nathan the blue, and himself the pink. He put the cup carrier to the side and then opened the box of tacos and put it in the middle of us.

I quickly took one of the three bean tacos, making Ro chuckle. The three of us ate in silence for the most part, though we made some small talk here and there. After finishing our food, Nathan said he found a way we could get down, although it'd be a little rough.

Nevertheless, he led us to the nonofficial trail and we began descending down. We had to jump down a few times, which was scary, but Ro helped me with it all. For the most part, I was worried about how we'd go back up.

We finally made it to the bottom and I quickly ran to the river, making Ro chase after me. We played around and watched the fishes. Nathan suggested swimming in the river, but I quickly shut the idea down. We were all dirty and I didn't want the fishes to die because of us.

We still played with some of the water though. I brought my cup and filled it up with water before attempting to spray Ro with it. It was fun, even though I had to run away and hide behind Nathan many times.

At around 1 in the afternoon, we began making our way back to the car.

"That was fun," Ro said as he sat in the front passenger seat of the car. I wanted to sit in the backseat and he seemed more than happy with that.
