After the very quick ending of the farewell party, Jessica found herself tucked under Steve's arm, the entirety of the group in the laboratory.
Jessica watched as Bruce Banner paced back and forth, Sylvi doing the same from Steve's other side. Cali and Chess were beside the redheaded, Rocky, Eden and Lene being on the other side of the pair.
"All our work is gone. He used the internet as an escape hatch," Bruce explained, running a hand down his face in frustration.
Steve scoffed, "Ultron."
"He's been in everything. Files, surveillance. Probably knows more about us than we know about each other," Natasha told, crossing her arms over her chest when the group all began shifting uncomfortably at the thought.
They all had a past.
Rhody then spoke, pushing himself off the parallel wall to where Steve and Jessica were, "He's in your files, he's in the internet. What if he decides to access something a little more exciting?"
"Nuclear codes," Maria Hill whispered from her seat, making Rhody whisper her words before continuing, "Look, we need to make some calls, assuming we still can."
"Nukes? He said he wanted us dead."
Steve shook his head, fingers running along Jessica's hipbone, "He didn't say dead. He said-"
"-Extinct," Jessica finished for him, green eyes looking up to meet Rhody's, "He has a consciousness. He exudes repugnant energy against us. He won't stop until all of us are dead."
"Did you get into this things head?" Sylvi questioned, looking toward the woman as Bruce did the same.
Jessica sighed lightly, "I can't read people's minds. I feel other's energy. I could tell you if a person in the street was about to commit a crime, things like that. Any living thing has an energy- and his was negative."
"Well he said he killed someone," Clint spoke for the first time the event happened. Maria shook her head, "There wasn't anyone else in the building."
Tony Stark walked to the middle of the room, bringing up the now-destroyed 3D image of JARVIS' consciousness and saying, "Yes, there was."
Bruce approached the orange damaged image slowly, whispering, "What? This is insane."
"JARVIS was the first line of defense," Steve guessed tactically, "He would have shut Ultron down. It makes sense."
"No. Ultron could have assimilated JARVIS. This isn't strategy. This is..." Bruce paused, thinking of the right word, "Rage."
Footsteps were heard and everyone turned to see Thor barge into the laboratory, making his way toward Tony. Jessica's eyes widened when he grabbed Tony by the throat, lifting him into the air angrily.
