Jessica sat with her hands in her lap as she sat beside Steve in one of the trucks SHIELD had at the secret facility, the man watching her leg shake back and forth in anxiousness.

The two were the only ones in the car, Sam having driven them to the Smithsonian later that night to steal Steve's old Captain America suit from the forties. Steve asked Jessica to accompany them, wanting to keep her with them at all times after they had removed her tracker.

He wanted to trust her, he did... but he needed his friends safe. He figured the safest she would be was with him.

"Are you okay?" He whispered, placing his hand on her knee out of instinct.

Her leg immediately stopped, the woman looking down at it before she met his eyes. She nodded, her features softening a bit.

"I think so," She licked her lips, "I just... I feel terrible that I can't remember most everything about us. We were married and I didn't know your name until a few hours ago."

Steve's eyes softened a bit as Jessica's fingertips brushed his hand, "You remember my name?"

"Steve," Jessica smiled, the man's heart clenching a bit at the sound, "Your name is Steven Grant Rogers. Born July 4th, 1919, making me older than you."

"Something that you were always so proud about," Steve noted, causing Jessica to turn to him slightly.

She gave him an interested grin, "Really?"

He chuckled, saying, "Yes. You were so happy that I was a Cancer and you were a Pisces. You said that their compatibility was very strong, so we would be, too."

"Were we?" She looked up at him through her lashes, hands still gripped tight against one another. Steve nodded, whispering, "We were."

Jessica gulped, blinking rapidly for a moment before she gripped onto his hand that was on her thigh he had forgotten about. He furrowed a brow as she opened his palm, placing a cold object in it.

Steve's eyes softened when he saw Jessica's wedding ring in his hand, turning to her after a moment, "Where did you find this?"

"I, um, found it when I was leaving the Hydra base. I found it in what looked to be like an archive room?" Jessica explained, "I saw it and I somehow I knew it was mine. It makes sense now... knowing I was your wife."
