ROSEMARIE "MARY" THERMOPOLIS, OR ROSEMARIE "MARY" HART as she is later known was a simple town girl. Of course, that all changed when her grandmother came to visit Mia and her. Suddenly, her sister and her are being taught on how to rule Genovia, due to being next in line for the throne. At the beginning, Mia realized she wasn't ready to rule Genovia, so Mary stepped up to be the person until her sister was ready.
When it comes to their 21st birthday, signaling a new change in Genovia, not that many people are happy. Of course, Lord Viscount Mabrey reminds everyone about the rule of Genovia, that in order to get the throne, Mia has to be married. Shenanigans ensure when everyone tries to find Mia a perfect suitor, not knowing that one was under their watch.
Of course, not everybody knows about the missing moments that took place. Moments that would forever be engraved in Mary's memories. After all, they made her who is today.
