[ Chapter Nineteen: A New Life Growing Inside Me ]
AGE: 18
I PACED ANXIOUSLY BACK AND FORTH, hoping that the timer would beep soon. And as if they heard my thoughts, the timer beeped making me rush to the bathroom counter. I carefully grasped the pregnancy test and closed my eyes, before slowly opening one of them.
Realizing that I couldn't see the sign properly, I closed my eyes once more before opening them fully. I stared at the test in front of me in shock before I stumbled a bit, my back hitting the wall behind me. I slowly slid down the wall, crumbling to the floor, my hand trembling as it held the test.
**Royal Moments**
"The first thing I'd like you to do is to take another pregnancy test just to find out exactly how far along you are." My doctor informed me as I sat up on the edge of the bed, fiddling with my thumbs nervously
"Then we can talk more specifically about what lies ahead, okay?" She asked me and I nodded my head silently
"Okay." I answered her in a low voice, my brain not processing the words or the test image into my head
"Just want to double check, this is your first child?" My doctor asked me and I widened my eyes, nodding my head rapidly
"Definitely my first." I answered her and she nodded her head in response, jolting it down on her clipboard
**Royal Moments*
"Well, your majesty, you're definitely pregnant." My doctor revealed to me after she had walked into the room and closed the door after her
"...Oh..." I softly said in response to her before laying down on the bed, staring at the ceiling above me
"Can you please not mention this to anyone yet?" I asked my doctor nervously and she glanced at me with a small smile
"No worries, your majesty, here at Genovia, we also have Doctor-Patient confidentiality." My doctor assured me and I gave her a small smile
"Thank you. Can you please do me a small favor and leave please? I'd like to process this news alone for a while." I informed her and she nodded her head, bowing it slightly before she walked away
"Oh my Good, what do I do? What do I do?" I questioned myself quietly, and I took a deep breath, eyeing the ceiling once more
