[ Chapter Seven: Three words. Eight letters. ]

AGE: 15

I SLOWLY LOWERED MY FEET onto the lake, making sure that I didn't accidentally harm any fishes. I turned my head over my shoulder when I heard footsteps coming my way and I grinned when I saw that it was Jeremiah. He was silent as he reached me but he leaned in and gave me a peck on the cheek as he went to sit down next to me.

"I know how much I like you, pretty girl but everything I've done since we began dating, everything I wanna do is be the guy you love. If you love me as I love you, then I say we say it, both of us. I'm ready to tell you that I love you Rosemarie Thermopolis." Jeremiah said to me as he stared ahead while placing his feet in the lake

"Do you really mean that?" I asked him quietly with a small smile on my face as I turned my head over to look at him

"Yeah, yeah. I mean, it's okay if you're not ready to say those words." Jeremiah assured me and I nodded my head at his words

"That's nice to hear, Jer, but don't you worry your pretty little head. I love you too." I told my boyfriend and I leaned in to kiss him on the lips 

Of course, since I didn't notice that he wasn't leaning on anything, I accidentally leaned in too much causing him to fall onto the lake. I let out a laugh as he resurfaced, swimming closer to me. He pushed his hair back and swam even closer so that he was in front of me, nestled between my two legs. 

"You found that funny, huh?" Jeremiah asked me and I nodded my head as I continued to laugh to myself

"Of course I did." I managed to say to him but before I could say anything further, I felt him reach my legs and pull me down to the lake

I yelped as the water greeted me and it didn't take long enough for me to resurface. I took a deep breath and pushed Jeremiah softly as he neared me. I swam further away from him but it didn't take long enough for him to trap me and plant a kiss on my lips and I kissed him back, wrapping my arms around his neck.
