Chapter 11

Seoul National University Hospital 08:00 AM

Joy got discharged the next day. She got fetch by all of the girls. She was still struggling to walk straight.

"Unnie/Sooyoung!!" The girls went for a group hug as soon as they open the door to Joy's room and saw each other.

"Unnie are you alright now??" Yeri asked as she went to Joy's side to assist her.

"I'm good now." Joy flashed them a big smile.

"Let's visit mom first before we go back to the base." Joy said.

"Let's go. I miss Mrs. Park also. It's been a long time since we last saw her." Seulgi then went to Joy's side also to assist her as Wendy grabbed her things.

They went to Mrs. Park's room.

"Girls!!" Mrs. Park yelled as soon as the door of her room swung open. The girls hugged both Mr and Mrs Park as they're both inside the room since Jiyoung and Minji went to school. They chatted for a bit before the girls bid their goodbye.

They were at the lobby of the hospital already when they saw Sungjae going to the ER. Sungjae also saw them as he smiled at them and bowing his head slightly to greet them. Particularly at Joy as he went inside the ER. Joy blushed at the smile that Yeri noticed. Good thing Sungjae didn't notice it as he was already inside the ER.

"Unnie why are you blushing??" Yeri teased her that made the girls looked at her weirdly.

"I'm not!!" Joy suddenly blurted out as the girls tried to suppress their smiles.

"Something definitely happened but let's interrogate her later. We need to hurry up since we have a briefing later." Irene said as they walked to their car.

Korea Special Forces Base 0850

They arrived 50 minutes after. They quickly went to Col. Gong's office upon arriving.

They saluted as Col. Gong returned their salute.

"Are you fine now Joy??" Col. Gong asked as the girls already stood straight.

"I'm fine now sir." Joy answered as she opened and then closed her legs upon answering.

"Good since you also need to be ready later. Okay, Girls as you guys know you guys will brief us later. Prepare the materials you will be using as high ranking officials will be their also since the president already heard about this and he was not pleased. That will be all of it. You can go now and prepare for the briefing later at 0930. Dismissed!."

The girls decided to just call Joy later for the briefing to give her time to rest since they're still worried. Joy wanted to protest but in the end she couldn't win from them. The 4 then went to prepare for the briefing.

It was already 0915 and Joy was already inside the conference room. She was still oblivious of the whole situation. All she can remember from the incident was getting ambushed, getting shot, and then the four bodies. She didn't know something happened afterwards so she didn't bother reading the materials placed at the table.

The started after all the officials arrived.

"The briefing will now start." Irene informed everyone.

"The RV squad got ambushed at 0403 the same day the gathering happened." Irene started as pictures of the crime scene flashed at the screen.

"A total of 5 suspects were around that time but only 4 bodies got recovered at the crime scene." The screen flashed the 4 faces of the suspects.

"The shootout resulted a wounded soldier of ours that got transported to Seoul National University Hospital to be treated. The suspect that was able to escape the shootout was able to follow us to the hospital. At the hospital, the suspect shot 2 guards that was guarding the parking lot of the hospital. Thankfully they're stable and is already recovering also at the said hospital." Joy got weirded out by the last statement since she couldn't remember that happening.
