yena pry opened her eyes in fear, afraid that something might go wrong, only to see her ruby necklace glowing together with his.
"our necklaces are glowing?" yena gasped.
"oh right! it's my twenty-fifth birthday today, i'm supposed to wear this necklace and wait for J- wait..." she paused at she tried to connect the dots in her mind.
"a-are you JW?" yena stuttered.
am uncontrollable smile escaped from his lips and he nodded his head.
"ARE YOU JW? DON'T PLAY WITH ME-" yena raised her voice at excitement.
"yes, i am." he confidently confessed.
"IT'S YOU, JW! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL THIS TIME? DID PEOPLE STILL BULLY YOU? ARE YOU OKAY WHEN IM NOT AROUND WITH YOU? WHO ARE THOSE WHO BULLIED-"
"i'm fine now, yena." he cut in.
"aish..whatever..." yena bit her inner lip. she couldn't contain her excitement hence, she tiptoed and placed her lips on his for a split second.
a pink tinge of blush appeared on both of their faces as jungwon pulled her into a hug.
"i will promise you to never leave you ever again!" yena vowed while a tear escaped jungwon's eye.
"why did you promised that... i'm leaving soon... maeum will be with you, okay? i want to tell you this so badly but, i can't bring it up. it hurts..." jungwon thought as he blinked his tears away.
yena then pulled the hug away.

"jungwon ah, what's wrong? why are so quiet?" before she knew, jungwon pulled her into a hug again.
