the door of jungwon's room opened, revealing the other trio — jay, sunghoon and niki.
jungwon was still sitting down on his couch, staring at the two red necklaces for the longest time ever.
"jungwon..." the three of them called out in union.
"go away," he said, shaking his head. "just go away." his voice was soft, almost fragile, as if it and his heart would break any minute. perhaps, his heart was already broken. he had been crying, so his voice still cracked and caught in his throat. "she left, you know. just like that."
"come on! we are all sad for her. but, think properly. she used up so much energy even till the end to save you, do you think she wants to see you like this after all her efforts?" niki tried to cheer him up.
"i feel so terrible..." as jungwon spoke, his voice started off sharp, but then, he broke down, and before the other three knew it, jungwon was on the verge of tears, trying desperately to hide it and keep his face and his words straight and stern.
"jungwon, we got her stuff. this are her belongings. soohee helped us to sort them out already." sunghoon said and passed him yena's bag that she always brings to school.
"soohee must be mad at me, don't you think so? if i had recalled earlier, yena would not have died." jungwon muttered, not making any eye contact with them.
"soohee- she isn't mad at you. she is definitely sad but, she will never blame you. same goes to yena." sunghoon replied, giving a pat on jungwon's back.
little did they know that soohee and maeum were standing outside of the room.
maeum was comforting soohee who was covering her mouth while crying.
she regretted so much for not being able to save her. she doesn't and will not blame on anyone else but, herself.
maybe if she was there, she could have already saved yena. yena then would not have to go through this.
