"oh! enough about it, they are here!" maeum got up to unlock the door.
"yena!" all of them greeted out in union.
"hii!!" yena waved at them.
jay came over immediately and quickly asked if everything was alright, what were my plans and how things were going between me and jungwon.
"i think it's fine?!" yena replied.
even she, herself, is unsure.
"okay, enough! time to get serious." maeum clapped her hands once to get everyone's attention adverted to her.
"so basically, the reason why all of us are here today, it is to explain what really happened to you, yena." maeum's tone became serious.
"me? about what?" yena swallowed a gulp of saliva, her guts telling her that something is going to be wrong.
"yena, during the days when you are in the vampire world, we have found out that..." maeum took a deep breath before she continued.
"remember last time, you said you and jungwon went for volunteering in the orphanage?"
"yeah..." yena dragged her voice.
"that was when everything started to take a turn. i finally read finish minha's diary entries and i found out that on that day, minha called a little kid, that one which everyone called her the quiet one. she was instructed by minha to place a poisonous sticker on your hand. but, instead of calling your name, minha just pointed at you. however, that kid most probably thought that she was pointing at jungwon instead. and then, she placed the sticker on jungwon's hand and hence, caused jungwon to be poisoned."
before yena could say anything, maeum felt the need to explain everything, just in case she wasn't able to do so anymore after that.
it was just a gut feeling.
"then during the time when jungwon was in his vampire training, during one of the days in lunchtime, you went to the toilet and minha drugged you with a poison that makes your soulmate mark fade away. when jungwon came back, minha told the king that both of them were soulmates and she showed her tattooed soulmate mark. thats why both of them are together right now."
