Has Valentino ever been in love before? Of course. As a child, there was a deep, innocent affection for his best friend in kindergarten, and he had a favorite person during his early years. But now, Valentino truly understands what real love feels like. It's not the fleeting crushes of his youth; it's something profound and enduring.

Valentino is overjoyed with Max. He might not always grasp the extent of Valentino's feelings, but he feels the love through Valentino's actions. Val demonstrates his love through warm embraces, tender kisses, and frequent reassurances of "I love you." Max, on the other hand, struggles to express his emotions openly. His past made affection a complicated matter, but he is learning, and Valentino is patiently supporting him through this process. Max is immensely grateful for Valentino's help in shaping him into his true self, not just conforming to what others expect.

They're both happy, mostly in each other's company, but also in general. Or so it seemed.

One evening, as the couple enjoyed a rare quiet moment together, a sudden, harsh knock at the door shattered their peace. Valentino and Max exchanged worried glances.

"Who could that be?" Max asked, his voice tinged with anxiety.

Valentino's expression darkened. "I'll check it out."

He opened the door to find a man standing on the threshold, his face twisted in anger. Valentino's father stood there, his presence commanding and intimidating.

"You really think getting a fucking ugly faggot boyfriend would stop me from wanting to fucking break your teeth in?" Valentino's father sneered. "Valentino Khan Rose, as your father, I thought you would know better than to be one of those fucking faggots."

The words were like a physical blow, leaving Valentino momentarily stunned. Max's face turned pale, and he instinctively moved closer to Valentino, his body tensing.

Valentino took a deep breath, his eyes narrowing. "What are you doing here?" he asked, trying to keep his voice steady despite the turmoil inside him.

"I came to remind you of your place," his father spat out, his eyes filled with disdain. "You think you can just defy me and live your life however you please?"

Valentino's jaw clenched. "I'm living my life on my terms. If you can't accept that, then you don't need to be here."

Max stepped forward, his voice trembling but firm. "You have no right to talk to Valentino like that. We're happy together, and that's all that matters."

Valentino's father laughed bitterly. "Happy? Don't make me laugh. You think this is some fairy tale? You're both living a lie. And you, boy," he pointed at Max, "are nothing but a distraction."

Valentino moved in front of Max, his protective instincts kicking in. "Get out," he said, his voice carrying an edge of finality. "If you can't respect us, then you have no place here."

The tension in the room was palpable. Valentino's father looked like he was about to argue further but then turned on his heel, storming off. The door slammed shut behind him, leaving a heavy silence in its wake.

Valentino turned to Max, his face pale but resolute. "Are you okay?"

Max nodded, though his eyes were wide with fear. "I'm fine. Just... shaken."

Valentino pulled him into a tight embrace, his own hands trembling slightly. "I'm sorry you had to see that. He's not someone we need in our lives."

Max clung to him, finding comfort in his presence. "I'm glad you stood up to him. It means a lot."

Valentino sighed, holding Max close. "We'll get through this. We're stronger together."

As they held each other, the storm outside seemed to mirror the storm within. But for the moment, the warmth of their embrace offered a sanctuary from the harshness of the world. They were still learning, growing, and fighting for their happiness, but they had each other, and that was enough to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
