Emily's POV
I've been avoiding Harry since that night at his house. 2 days. It's only been 2 days but it feels like forever. He has a big effect on me. I got attached. I want to talk to him but I can't. I can't trust him. But part of me is saying to trust him. He knows my feelings toward him, he even told me. He can see through me. That's his effect. That's why I can't trust him.
Today I have the last shift and the diner is about to close soon. It's 9:00 almost 10:00. The restaurant is empty. I start cleaning and sweeping about to close up but I still need to lock up. The little bell on the door rings. Before I look up I say
"Sorry we're about to close up but you can come back tomorrow."
"I'm not here to get something to eat. I'm here for you." it's his voice. His deep voice. I missed his voice so much. His accent. I've missed him. But I can't show it.
I look up at him. Trying my best not to run up to him and give him the biggest bear hug. I don't want him to know my need for him.
he's wearing a blue beanie. His winter coat and his brown boots. He has a guitar case strapped on his back.
"Harry I'm closing up, you have to go."
"I'm not leaving yet. Not until you hear me out. I've made something for you."
"Fine harry. This better be quick."
He pulls out his guitar and grabs both of us chairs. He sits in front of me.
"This is a song I wrote called 'Illusion'." He starts to sing.
