TYLER POV

I've been working my ass off these last few months cranking out songs and traveling. I have so much shit that most of it is either going to be throwaways or end up on something in the future. But there is this song that I've had for a while that didn't work for any other album I've done and I finally got one where it fits. I ended up tweaking it and it's perfect!

Right now, the gang and I were doing studio sessions in Atlanta. We left Italy a couple of months ago and came back to the states to finish the rest of the album.

Today I decided to take a break from recording and just have a destress day. We went bike riding for a while then chilled at a park where barely anyone was there or cared about who we were. My non-athletic ass even played soccer with these niggas. I was just happy and living life.

I had this new...Fling? I guess. Whatever it is, she's got my attention for the moment. The only problem is that she's already in a relationship with a nigga I know. She don't even seem happy with him and spends most of her free time with me yet, she still deals with him. It baffles me.

Tyler: You know I won't be out that way this week. Why won't you just come see me for a week?.... Shit, I don't know...Make something up...Mannn...Aight...Cool...The driver will pick you up...Bye.

I hung up the phone and couldn't help but grin. Being around her just feels right..or familiar. I often did think about whether I was only into this girl because she has some scary similarities to Akeylah. FUCK! I shook those thoughts from my head. I had to move on because that's what she did. She's with this stud now and she looks happy as hell and I want her to be. But is it fucked that I'd rather her be happy with ME? I was brought out of my thoughts by someone walking into my line of vision. I looked up to see long legs and a slim frame and knew it was her instantly.

"This blanket taken?"

Tyler: Nah.

I scooted over so she could lay next to me. We both just looked up at the clouds and started pointing out things that they looked like. We did shit like this often. It was chill. We would either cloud gaze or star gaze and talk about everything under the sun. She was comforting. If she wanted, she could have anything that I had. She brought me peace.

Her smile was contagious as she lay beside me, pointing out the various shapes we saw in the clouds. Her laughter was music to my ears, and the way her eyes lit up when she talked about her dreams made me feel alive again. She was like a breath of fresh air, and she didn't even know it.

Her name was Kayla or "Reign", a sandy brown-haired beauty with a sharp tongue and a heart of gold. She had this fiery spirit that was both alluring and terrifying, but I couldn't get enough of her. She was the muse behind many of my latest tracks, even though she had no idea.

Reign: Look, Tyler! That one looks like a dragon!

Tyler: (laughing) More like a dragonfly.

Reign: How does a dragonfly look like a dragon to you?

Tyler: (smiling) Because it's smaller and more graceful. Dragons are big and scary. Dragonflies are like the cooler, less terrifying version.

We laid there for what felt like hours, just talking and laughing. She had this way of making me feel like the world was okay again. Like I could do this shit forever and not get tired of it.

Reign: (giggling) Okay, okay. So, what's your dream, Tyler? Besides making music, I mean.

Tyler: (pausing to think) That's a good question. I guess...my dream is to keep doing what I'm doing but without all the drama and shit. I want to make a difference in the world, you know? Maybe start a charity or something. Help people who need it.
