The day, Tyler found himself surrounded by his best friends, Lionel, Travis and Jasper. Jasper had filled Lionel and Travis in on what happened at Akeylah's Grammys afterparty.

Lionel: (raises an eyebrow) So, you and Akeylah had a secret fling for a whole year and you didn't tell us?

Tyler: (sighs) It's complicated, man. We were trying to keep it low-key because of the industry and our schedules. Plus, we didn't want to mess up our friendship.

Jasper: (laughs) And how'd that work out for you?

Travis: (shakes his head) Classic Tyler, always keeping the juicy shit to yourself.

Lionel: (smirks) So, what's the deal now? You gonna try to make it work with her?

Tyler: (nods) I think so. We talked last night, and we both admitted that we still love each other. We're gonna take it slow and figure it out.

Travis: (laughs and points) Yeah because taking things slow equals a hickey on your neck, right?

Lionel and Jasper then got closer to look and started laughing too.

Lionel: Y'all just couldn't wait, huh?

Jasper: (chuckles) It's been two years, man. Give them a break.

Tyler: (chuckles) It just...happened. We were talking through things and then...we were talking less.

Lionel: (smirks) So y'all let your bodies do the talking? Got it.

Travis: (nods) Well, I'm just happy for you, bro. If you're happy, that's all that matters.

Jasper: (seriously) But for real, Akeylah's gotta handle that shit with Sabrina. That poor girl's heart is probably in a million pieces right now.

Tyler: Key already told me that she's gonna talk with her. It's gonna be handled.

Travis: So...Are you and Key gonna go public now?

Tyler: We're going to keep it low-key for now, just work on us and our friendship.

Travis: (nods) That's smart. You don't want to rush into anything and have it blow up in your face.

Meanwhile, Akeylah is at her apartment, sitting on the couch with her best friends, Domonique, Khadijah, Demetrius, Angelo, Kenneth and Michelle. They were trying to process the events of the night before.

Domonique: (looks at her) So, what happened after we left? Did you guys talk?

Akeylah: (nods) We talked...and then...we stopped talking.

Kenneth: (winks) That's what happens when you two lovebirds get together.

Khadijah: (smirks) Did you finally tell him how you felt?

Akeylah: (blushes) Yeah, I did. And he said he still loves me too.

The room was filled with gasps and squeals of excitement from her friends.

Demetrius: I fucking knew it!

Michelle: (rolls her eyes) You two are gonna be the death of me with this on-again, off-again shit.

Akeylah: (laughs) I know, but we're going to try to keep it low-key for now. We're going to focus on our friendship and see where it goes from there.
