Over the last few months, I have been practically LIVING in my recording studio if I wasn't gone with Tyler traveling for his album. I have been cranking out ideas and going into the booth and making them a reality. Playing around with different genres just to see how they would sound. Oh, and I have a team now. Even though I liked to be hands-on, it was getting a bit more of a task since I was beginning to gain more traction. Photoshoots, endorsement deals, interviews, guest appearances, and more. My team consisted of;

Managers: The Clancy's

Bodyguard: Anthony

Stylist: Sasha

MUA: Marcy

Hair Stylist: Shawn

Engineer: Juno

Publicist: Vivica

Attorney: Jackson

Choreographer: THE Sean Bankhead

I also had a band that I hand-picked full of talented musicians and they were all African American men (James, Tony, Mike, Quan, and Tommy);"One Sound". For my dancers, I had four African American women (Erika, Raven, Gabby, and Breanna) and four African American men (Nigel, Joe, Todd, and Donte). My background singers were three African American women (Genesis, Evangeline, and Marissa) that I actually went to high school with and we danced on the same Majorette line in band.

Anyways, the music I have given to the world over the last few years has been great but now I want music that sounds more my age. I was now 24 and have experienced some things in life. I wanted to depict that in my music. I started in this industry at just 19 and my "Keychains" have grown with me. It's time for me to be on my grown and sexy.

Today I was in my dance studio going over music video choreo with Sean and my dancers for a single I had dropping called "Water". It happened to be the leading single to my upcoming album that was coming next year.

Even though he was mainly head choreographer, he knew my dancing skills so whenever I had an idea he implemented it.

Akeylah: (demonstrating) For the wet scene with the Jeep, I think the move should be "roll...pivot...roll..pivot then snap back up.

I did it over and over until everyone tried to catch the move

Sean: I like that. But how about you do the roll, pivot but get down low as you do it. That way the snap-up looks better.

He then went on to demonstrate what he meant. The dancers and I began to do that same thing and started jumping around when I saw how dope it looked

Akeylah: See now this is why we make a good team!

We both laughed as we high five each other

Sean: Aight let's do it again! 5,6, 7,8!

~~~~
Akeylah: (talks into bullhorn) Okay guys! I need to speak!
The chattering around the room stopped as the focus came back to me. Tonight was the world premiere for the "Water" music video. I was doing a private screening for all my friends and team. My team knew what to expect but the others didn't and I was intrigued to see their reactions, to say the least.
Akeylah: For starters, I wanna thank you guys for coming to see little ole me. I truly do appreciate you guys! This is something new for my career. I felt it was time to start making the material more true to me with the stage I'm in right now in life. A 24-year-old melanated goddess! Y'all can laugh all you want because I know who I am!
We all laughed
Akeylah: Anyways, I am moving in a different direction and well...I'll let the video do the talking. Enjoy!
I went and sat down next to Tyler as the countdown started. I bit my lip when the video started and snuck peeks in his direction. I wasn't sure how he would react because it was a bit grown and sexier than anything I've done thus far. When it got to the Jeep scene, I noticed his smirk. What no one else knew was that the jeep was a reference to the time he and I fucked in the back of my Jeep Wrangler with the top off at a lake we sometimes went to for complete and utter peace/privacy.
Once the video ended I looked around the room as it was silent until...
Rocky: (yells from the back of the room) Damn Key done let Tyler hit now she acting up!
Everyone started laughing and applauding. I blushed and covered my face as everyone began to either tell me they liked the video or poke fun at thought of Tyler and me having sex. I don't know what I'm gonna do with these people
Domonique: (laughs) So what you're trying to tell the world is that you fucking now so you wanna make fucking songs?
Akeylah: (shrugs) If that's how you wanna spin it then I guess.
Tyler: But Nah, the video was good. It's nice to see you grow creatively. (kisses Key's forehead)
Akeylah: Well, I'm glad y'all liked it because there's more where that came from.
~~~~

And I wasn't fucking around. After that, I continued to crank out content whether it was for the album or not. If it wasn't music, I would do dance videos in my dance studio to songs that I liked. I wanted to showcase that side of me a lot more. In previous videos, I did choreo but it wasn't extensive.

Tyler: (walks and sits beside Key on the deck ) I saw the new video you posted up on your reels.

Right now I was with him and a couple of others in Geneva, Switzerland. We were on a yacht just chilling for the day considering we're out here while Tyler recorded for his album releasing next year. Today was a destress day.

Akeylah: So...what did you think? Was it too much? I'll take it down.

I began grabbing for my phone but Tyler grabbed it instead and put it in his pocket

Tyler: I liked it, babe. Calm down. I'm not one of those overprotective ass dudes. I know you're mine and you're coming home to me at the end of the day so I don't care about the dancing. If anything, it just turns me on.

Akeylah: (sighs with relief ) Okay. I do just be expressing myself in the moment and then when I put it out there I have second thoughts

Tyler: Well don't. I'm not mad about THAT but I am mad about the fact I had to find out you knew how to pole dance via Instagram and not in person. (raises a brow)

Akeylah: Oops?

Before I could even blink I was being tackled to the floorboards by Tyler pecking my face all over as I squirmed to get out of his grip.

Jasper: Go get a room niggas! (snickers along with his girlfriend Carter as they walk past )

We both playfully flipped them off as we laughed

Tyler: (flashes a mischievous grin) So...when are you gonna demonstrate for me?

Akeylah: (returns the look) How soon can you find a pole?

Tyler:(shouts) Well shit nigga! I'm buying one tonight then! I love this new Key!

All I could do was laugh and shake my head as he ran off to get his phone
