Bridget's POV:
"I'm not going to say it again. Get out of bed." I said. I was currently standing in Meghan's room trying to get her up for school. For the past two days she's been in her bed crying over Luke."Jack said I could stay home." She replied, pulling the covers over her head.
"Well now I'm saying get out of bed. I get you're hurt and upset but that's no excuse to miss school. Do you think when my grandfather was on his deathbed in Orange County, Ohio that I wanted to be in school? No! I got a text halfway through the day that he passed and I spent the rest of the week crying." I explained." You need to get out of this bed and continue on with your life."
When she didn't respond I yanked the covers off the bed, took her by the ankles, and started dragging her off the bed." You're going to take a shower, get dressed in clothes you haven't been rotting away in for two days, and go to school." I said to her as I dragged her to the bathroom.
"Bridget I don't want to." She whined.
"Well I don't want to smell this oder you have conducted but tough luck. Now strip and get moving, we have to leave in forty five minutes." I instructed. She shut the bathroom door and I waited outside for when she was finished.
"Could you be any louder?" Jackjack asked as he slumped out of his room.
"Sorry. I'm just trying to get her dressed and out the door for school." I replied." I feel for her, I really do but I'm not gonna let what happened between her and Luke stand in the way of her getting an education. Nowadays when you miss a day, you miss a lifetime."
"Well thanks. I know Jack can be kind of a pushover when it comes to her feelings and whining but I agree with you that she shouldn't let it overrun her life." Jackjack explained. With that he walked past and down the stairs while I retreated back to her room to get clothes. While I was in there I packed her practice bag and left it on her bed by her book bag.
I came back and knocked on the door before going in." I'm just bringing you some clothes. Nothing fancy but they're at least clean. After your showers dry your hair and put these on."
When I left the bathroom I went downstairs and started getting her breakfast together.
"Hello person who doesn't live here." Jack commented when I started rummaging through their cabinets.
"Sorry, I'm getting Meghan's breakfast together while she gets dressed." I told him.
"Oh, I told her she could stay home today." Jack said.
"Yeah well, I was a little more persuasive with getting her up and out of bed. She needs to face the world head on, not hide from it."

*"You got your coffee and a bagel, so this day can only go up from here." I told her as we walked into school.
"Yes because coffee and a bagel are gonna fix all my problems." Meghan muttered.
"Hey!" I yelled, looking at her in the eyes." Change you're attitude because sulking and being upset is not going to fix anything. Go into life with a fucking smile because it'll make things so much brighter."
She was speechless and opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out.
"I understand you're not in a good place right now but if you continue to be sad about it, you're going to keep getting worse. I need you to be happy, I need you to be in a better place please; for me."
When I said that Meghan started crying. We were standing outside the front entrance with Meghan sobbing into her hands. I wrapped my arms around her and she cried into my shoulder.
"I know you're right." Meghan sobbed." It just hurts so bad."
"I know, I know baby. He's not worth it and you need to realize that."

*Meghan's POV:
"Hey Meghan, I heard what happened. I'm so sorry." Another girl from the squad walked up to me. This was the third girl who came up to me and apologized for hearing about Luke and I splitting."Thanks." I replied sarcastically. She walked away and I shot Bridget a annoyed look." I would like to go for the rest of the day without someone coming up to me and apologizing."
"Just accept it. They're apologizing for him." Bridget commented.
Coach Penny same in and immediately went over to Brittany.
Brittany's POV:
"What's all the fuss over there. Girls are chatting like one of the Jonas brothers died." Coach Penny asked me."Meghan's boyfriend cheated on her so they broke up last Friday." I said." Personally I would've ripped off his nutsack but-"
"TMI. At least she's not a mess." Coach Penny replied.
"Actually she cried all weekend. Bridget had to drag her to school this morning." I commented. Coach Penny dropped the bag of Medicine Balls for core and dismissed me back to the bleachers.
"Alright ladies listen up! I have something to say." Coach Penny announced. All voices went quiet except for hers." I heard from one of you that over the weekend, one of us broke up with their boyfriend."
Meghan's POV:
"I head from one of you that over the weekend, one of us broke up with their boyfriend." When she said that my head perked up. I looked at Bridget and she shrugged." Now I get that in High School, how important it is to have a boyfriend. that being said, it's not. Boys don't mean shit until they turn thirty and have matured."
One girl in the front row raised her hand." What does this have to do with cheer-leading?"
"Everything!" Coach Penny yelled." I have seen generations of girls come and go since I started coaching this team in eighty-nine. I have seen hundreds of girls come and go and at least thirty percent of them were dumped by their boyfriends or broke up with them themselves. I have seen many girls in my day cry over that shit or even go as far as cut their own bangs-" a bunch of girls around the room gasped while Bridget and I looked at each other with a confused look." And every time I get fed up with this stupid crap and i'm no longer going let it continue. All I can say is that these breakups have overrun these girls' lives and drove them to do even more stupid stuff so please, please don't let this breakup overrun your life. Surprisingly this is a good group of girls and I don't want random ass boys fucking up the peace."
When Coach Penny calmed down a little bit, she came closer to the bleachers." Meghan, i'm sorry that your boyfriend did what he did but you're a honors student with a one-in-a-million chance of a high paying scholarship to any school you want. Please keep your cool and don't let this shit run your life."
"Thank you Coach Penny." I said. With that speech, over everyone started practice.

"I think you did much better today because of her speech." Bridget commented as we walked down the hall to the parking lot by the weight room where Bridget's car was parked. As we passed the weight room, football players scrambled out and collected their stuff.
"Isn't that Connor from English? The really quiet guy who I called Gerber baby on the first day because he had no facial hair." Bridget said, pointing to him. he was picking up a bag and heading out the door.
"Wouldn't have pegged you for a football player!" I called to Connor as we followed him out.
"Oh yeah. Been playing since fifth grade peewees." He commented." Wouldn't have pegged you for a cheerleader."
"Neither would I but it happened." I chuckled." What position you play?"
"Line backer." Connor answered." You should come to one of my games sometime."
"I go to all of your games. I'm at the sidelines in that blue and gold uniform cheering you on with a few other girls." I chuckled. Bridget and I stopped at her car and he walked to the next two over.
"That's right. Well, I'll see you tomorrow or at least hope to."
