Connor's POV:
As soon as I sent that text I regretted it. I threw my phone and watched it shatter against the wall.I was just mad that she dumped me.
I grabbed my keys and headed out for a long drive up to Stanford. No point in staying with Lydia since all she was to me was a side chick. Besides Stanford was only to stay for Meghan and now that it's over I have no intentions of staying.
When I got there I parked outside the Sorority house and walked up the steps. Lydia opened the door before I had a chance to knock.
"What happened to you? You never showed up for the movie. I drove three hours to hang out and you didn't even come." She snapped.
"Sorry I was dealing with something personal." I told her.
"You were with your other girlfriend weren't you." Lydia muttered.
"Yeah I was and she's not my girlfriend anymore." A smirk appeared on her face when I said that." And neither are you. I'm done with whatever this is."
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me." I said." Have a good one."
"You'll be back. You'll be seeing a lot more of me when you move here in the fall." Lydia called before I got out the door.
"Nope. I'm going to Notre Dame and if they don't take me, someone else will." I replied as I walked to my car. When I got in I dialed Notre Dame's admissions board and hoped they were still there.
When a woman picked up I sighed in relief." Hi this Connor Hicks from Birmingham High School. I was offered a position to play football this upcoming school year."
"Ah yes, Mr. Hicks how may I help you today." She asked.
"In regards to furthering my education I accept the offer." I said.
"Excellent! Call this number tomorrow morning and our counselor will discuss scheduling and getting you ready to move down here in the fall." She explained before I said thank you and hung up. I texted my mom and told her to cancel any checks to Stanford and that I chose Notre Dame.
I went home that night feeling guilty for what I said to Meghan and how I acted today but I quickly got over it when I realized that she's probably back with Luke.
It was wrong of me to assume they were just friends.
