Meghan's POV: "Merry Christmas everyone." I told my family as I came into the kitchen. For the past two days I've been spending a lot of time with my family and it made me miss our old Christmas traditions like baking cookies Christmas Eve and Ashton eating almost all of them and mom hiding his presents as punishment.
"Morning." Mom replied." And merry Christmas. There's coffee in the pot if you'd like any."
"Thank you. Is he still looking for them?" I asked her as I sat down at the table.
"It's been almost two hours. I don't think he's going to give up." She answered. When Ashton gave up on trying to find them mom would get them out and he could only open one and the rest had to be opened on New Year's Eve.
"When was the last time we did this?" I asked as he came in and began looking on cabinets and drawers.
"Four or five years ago maybe. There was such a wonderful time when he ate healthy and was exercising but I guess that stopped."
"I can hear you." Ashton commented.
"That's the point." Mom mumbled as she took a sip of coffee. I leaned over to her and whispered," Are they in the regular place?"
"Of course they are. He never remembers." She answered. The regular place for when mom hid our stuff was the dryer. Ashton doesn't do his own laundry so it made sense that he wouldn't look there.
"Give up yet?" I asked him.
"I am an adult. I should be allowed to eat as many cookies as I want without my mommy punishing me." Ashton said.
"I would like you to live to fifty." Mom joked." And besides what kind of example is that for Harry? Look at Meghan and how fit she is. Take notes."
"That's because Meghan is crazy and is a vegan. Plus she works out and doesn't hate it." Ashton said." You know what I give up and I don't care. This is stupid."
"They're in the dryer." Mom said And he just yelled," damnit!"." You should've looked everywhere!"
"I hate this tradition so much." Ashton said as he sat down." By the way after dinner, I'm heading over to Calum's house for gift exchange. Meghan if you want to come, you can."
"Sure." I said." Your gift can wait till then."
"Alright we leave at seven and don't bother dressing up."

"Thanks mom, it's gorgeous." I told her; She got me a beautiful diamond pearl necklace.

"It was your grandmothers but she passed away a couple years ago." Mom replied.
"I know, dad told me. Sorry mom."
She smiled at me as I leaned over and gave her a hug.
"This one is from the three of us." Ashton told me and gestures to him, Lauren, and Harry. I unwrapped it to find the new 5sos album.
